Guilds in EverQuest are groups of people banded together under a common name. If someone is in a guild, their guild name ("guild tag") will appear directly beneath their name. All guilds have another chat channel (/gu) and can take advantage of the Guild Banner. Some guilds exist solely as social structures while some exist to organized Raids. Many guilds exist somewhere between these two extremes.
