Template:LotROMob  

This template makes it possible for us to link items NOW without worrying whether we might get a db one day and have to edit them all manually. Later, when we have a namespace, one edit, here, will fix all of them!

At this time, as we do not have a namespace nor db integration, mobid is needed to make a direct link. If it is blank, MobName is used to call the site Search.

Usage: {{LotROMob|MobName|AltMobName|mobid=|slinknote=}}

MobName

The Item Name exactly as it appears, or should appear, in the DB. If mobid is blank this is the field that will be passed to the search engine. IF we get full wiki integration THIS is the field that will be used to link to the db via the LotRO_Mob: namespace.

Name of the mob exactly as you want it displayed.

The ZAM database mob id for this item. This has no relation to any internal number used by Turbine. If mobid is blank the MobName is instead linked to our site search (indicated by <s>).

If this is not blank no attempt will be made to create a mob link. Instead, a note will be displayed explaining why some links are to the search page.
