Talent Points, sometimes also called Technique Points or Skill Points, are the currency with which you buy your Skill upgrades in Runes of Magic. You earn Talent Points, or TP, whenever you kill a monster or complete a quest, and when you level up.

The bottom-right of the Skills window shows how many Talent Points you currently have available to use, but if you hover your mouse over this number it cal also show you the total Talent Points you have earned since you started the character. This is the number you would have available if you used an Advanced Skill Reset Stone (Rdb) to reset and reassign your Talent Points.
