Shadow Odyssey Legendary Shard Armor (EQ2)

Tier 1
The Shadow Odyssey introduces a new method of acquiring armor, jewelry, and weapons. Void Shards are the currency used to buy these items. Each dungeon has several quests or Missions on a daily rotation which award them, as well as Void Shard chests found in each zone. Finally, there is a rotating Daily Double quest which awards 2 Void Shards for completing tasks in a specific dungeon. It is possible to earn up to 4 shards in a single dungeon instance. Tier 1 Void Shard Armor (Legendary) is a substantial upgrade over the Kunark Legendary sets and has more specialized stats and bonuses for each character class.
Tier 2 Void Shard Armor (Legendary) is a slight upgrade in the primary stats over the Tier 1 Void Shard Armor but introduces a crucial new survival statistic -- Critical Mitigation -- which is required to survive the more difficult TSO Group Dungeons as well as all of the TSO Raid Zones.
Void Shard armor may be purchased from the seven Mysterious Quellithulian vendors in Moors of Ykesha around 1679, 452, 894 at the Dropship Landing Zone. They may be crafted by tradeskillers who have completed the requisite quests and acquired the recipe books for a substantial discount in the number of shards required.
a mysterious Quellithulian (Shard Armor Merchant)
Sells T1 armor. This armor can be crafted by a person with the Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manual, Volume I for 1 shard less than the buy value.
Cost:
- Feet - 5 Void Shards
- Chest - 10 Void Shards
- Hands - 5 Void Shards
- Legs - 6 Void Shards
- Shoulders - 12 Void Shards
- Head - 6 Void Shards
- Complete Set: 44 Void Shards (38 Void Shards, if player-crafted)
Tier 2
a mysterious Quellithulian (Greater Shard Armor Merchant)
Sells T2 armor (must have respective T1 piece as well as shards in order to upgrade). This armor can be crafted by a person with the Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manual, Volume IV for 2 shards less than the buy value. T1 piece still required.
Cost:
- Feet - T1 Void Shard Armor Feet and 16 Void Shards
- Chest - T1 Void Shard Armor Chest and 24 Void Shards
- Hands - T1 Void Shard Armor Hands and 24 Void Shards
- Head - T1 Void Shard Armor Head and 20 Void Shards
- Legs - T1 Void Shard Armor Legs and 20 Void Shards
- Shoulders - T1 Void Shard Armor Shoulders and 30 Void Shards
- Complete Set: Compete T1 Set (44 Void Shards), plus 134 Void Shards for a grand total of 178 Void Shards
- If you have the entire T1 and T2 sets player-crafted, you will save a grand total of 18 Void Shards (total price: 160 Void Shards)
a mysterious Quellithulian (Shard Jewelry Merchant)
Sells T1 jewelry for 5 each. This jewelry can be crafted by a person with the Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manual, Volume II for
4 each. T1 jewelry is Level 78 and has no itemset name and no set bonuses.
a mysterious Quellithulian (Infused Shard Jewelry Merchant)
Sells T2 jewelry for 15 each (does not require the T1 piece, unlike armor). This jewelry can be crafted by a person with the Far Seas Strategic Pricing Manual, Volume III for
13 each.
There are several sets here, all with the same name and same effects, but you may NOT mix and match items from same-named sets to get set effects! Read your items carefully to see what you need to fill out a set. These sets changed a bit since introduced.
Note that each set grants effects for up to three (3) items, but may have several item options. Some of these options are available from Awnya N'Kval in Lavastorm by exchanging drops from Ward of Elements.
