Atelier Fen-Yll

"What the Sunsilk name has achieved for cloth, the Fen-Yll name has achieved for leather. The Atelier Fen-Yll is now home to the Leatherworkers' Guild, and boasts the finest tawers and tanners in all Eorzea. In recent years, the workshop has come to be known for its Geva patterns, named after the current guildmaster who devised them. These elegant patterns outline methods of working and cutting hides, pelts, skins, and furs in a way that honors the elementals within by minimizing waste."

Located in Gridania, the Leatherworkers' Guild can be found in Atelier Fen-Yll, in the central part of the city.

About The Guild

"Ours is not an easy profession. Even with the right tools, the risks are great. But it is these tools you must take up to become a leatherworker. The gods see fit to garb beasts in the hides, pelts, furs, and skins we need. And so we take them. And in reverence we transform them into the goods Eorzeans need to survive. You will find we have a number of tools more suited to lesser tasks as well. I reckon you'll find any number of tools will get you any number of results, even when crafting the same damn thing." - Gallia

Guild Facilities

Spaerfedar also offers use of the Guild's Facilities to Leatherworker's who are in need of support in their synthesis. Common, Guild, and Master's Tannery support is available for a small fee, which increases as your Leatherworker Level increases. Currently, some recipes have a "recommended" level of support, which will have a negative impact on your synthesis if you choose not to obtain the proper level of support. On a side note, you can obtain Common Tannery support from Repair NPCs, and various Camps across Eorzea.

Guild Tasks

"There's more to workin' leather than mere tannin' and tawin'. A master sees in leather the very fibers of life, and through 'em comes to know herself─and all things. So, what say you? Care to cast your lot in with Atelier Fen-Yll? Gods know there's work enough to be done." ~ Hereward

Guild Tasks are simple quests in which the guild requests the adventurer to bring various items to the guild in exchange for a reward. Currently only Level 1 and Level 10 Guild Tasks are available. The requested item changes daily, and the reward varies. (Gil, Shards, etc.) You can find out which Tasks are available by either talking to Hereward or by examining Task Boards around Gridania.

Guild Quests

As you level your Leatherworking, you will be able to undertake various quests that will require your talents as a Leatherworker. These quests follow a storyline that revolves around the Leatherworkers' Guild and your role as a Leatherworker in Eorzea. Although an awful lot of work may be involved in completing these quests, the rewards are well worth the effort. Below is a brief summary of the available quests, with links to lead you to their respective pages, where you can find more specific information, if you require assistance in completing your assigned task.
