These mobile, intelligent fungi were first seen in the caverns of the Splitpaw Gnolls. Today they are seen in many zones across Norrath.
There are many known tribes of Fungusmen:
- Sporeal in The Peat Bog
- Shroomba in the Shroomba Subterrane and Dyer Mycoria, a cave system off Echo Echo Canyon, the passage from The Nursery to Kelethin in the Greater Faydark.
- Virosinoids in a cave system off the section of the Upper Emerald River between the 2 falls in Greater Faydark, and inside the Emerald Halls.
- Zygomyds in the caverns of Sundered Splitpaw.
- Myconids in the tunnels of Emerald Halls Hollow in Lesser Faydark.
- Murkblooms on the island containing Behemoth Pond in Nektulos Forest.
- Sporconids around Doom's Morass in Kunzar Jungle.
- Fens Sifters of the Tillage Patch in the Moors of Ykesha.
- Undead Ghoulish Fungoids in The Ruins of Guk: Halls of the Fallen
