What Are Free Items?
This page is for the free items that can be obtained from your character profile page, and is not to be confused with Free Item Codes.
Players will occasionally see a yellow box stating that you can get X item free for clicking on it while on their profile page (on the Free Realms official web site). Clicking on this box will load a brief advertisement, and after that is finished, you are able to click the continue button at the bottom. Once you continue, the free item that was listed will be granted to your account!
Some users of Firefox who have the Adblock Plus add-on cannot see these yellow promotional boxes. Here is a work-around, originally posted by TheDeadEyes on the official forums:
Ok, anyone who uses Firefox and Adblock, add this to your 'Filter Rules':

That will let you see the yellow free item box on your profile.
These items are intended to be limited to accounts registered with the United States listed as their country, due to advertising laws. We have heard reports that some international players have been able to use a work-around to see the items, though some players have stated that no work-around is needed.
How Often Can I Get These Items?
Most of these items are only redeemable once per account.
However, the Firefrog Legs, Graveyard Flambe, Gumball Machine, Large Health Potion, Prospector's Scroll, Standard Hanging Plant, and Tiki Torch will keep reappearing as long as the current ads are running.
What If I Missed Some of the Items?
Don't worry! Almost everything will reappear once a new set of ads starts. Holiday items have a chance of reappearing the next year. Movie- and TV-show-related items will not be repeated, however.
Can I Trade These Items?
You can trade some of them: Fuzzy Squirrel, Gumball Machine, Standard Hanging Plant, Tiki Torch, and Turtle.
