Overview

It is one thing to learn of the nature of Cold Ones from a book, but it entirely another thing to witness their hunt, their vicious bloodlust dispelling any sense of their prominent stupidity.

Cold One Hunters

Only the Cold One Knights and Beastmasters learn the nature of the Cold One, for they have witnessed its killing rage in all its forms.

They have seen the beasts' stupidity transform into unmatched bloodlust: viciousness so extreme that a Cold One will hunt down and kill even the cleverest of opponents. When they creatures hunt together, they take on an animal cunning matched by only the great cats of Ulthuan as they herd and flank their fleeing prey.

Yet even during those uncanny bouts of cooperation, the frenzied wrath of the reptiles remains apparent, and it is only the secreted slime of their kind that keeps them from tearing one another apart as they hunt.

Many veterans have said that a Cold One's stupidity can always be depended upon, while the ones that still live rely solely on their single-minded ferocity.
