Aion Wikibase™ Mobs

The Mob Type of an NPC can be identified by the Icon in their target "key". Everything else is "Monsters".

NPC Types

Icon	Type	Meaning
	Quest NPC	This mob's only purpose is the giving or updating of quests.
	NPC	These mobs may update a quest, but do not give them (of course, there is always the exception that proves the rule). Usually, they just talk, sometimes giving tidbits of Lore.
	Object	Not to be confused with Objects, an Object Mob has Hit Points and must be attacked and destroyed, or interacted with, to progress a quest.
	Guard	If you are under attack and move anywhere near this mob type, he will jump in and aid you, whether you want the help or not. You will gain no XP for a mob killed by a guard.
	Merchant	Buyers and Sellers of items.
	Service	Sells a service, such as Manastone Removal, Soul Healing, Warehouse access or Cube Expansion.

Of course, there are exceptions. You would think that Trainers were Service or NPC, but they use the Guard icon.
