Proto-Felines. The Mau are one species of a larger group, called Sapiens, which serve the Balaur.
Mau are tribal, and the tribes vary widely. Some tribes are even friendly, or at least non-aggressive. Most Mau tribes will be attached to a tribe of Skurv, who they work in the fields but are also fiercely protective of.
Mau and Skurvs are only found in Asmodae. Their counterparts in Elysea are the Krall and Kobolds.

- The Ice Claw Tribe of Salintus Rise in Morheim.
- The Silver Mane Tribe and Mist Mane Tribe of southwestern Morheim.
