Prior to patch 1.9 many quests, especially repeatable quests, would say "Unknown" under Rewards. What this meant was that the reward was a random consumable or material.
With patch 1.9 all of those quests, and many new ones, reward a Bundle Item. This is a container that holds your actual reward. When you open it you receive a random consumable or material.
