There are many event merchants for the Carnival of the Ascended--so many that we have dedicated a page just to them!
Special note about the title rewards! Your faction MUST complete the phase objective to unlock each phase's title!

Carnival Locations
It's been a year since the Ascended arrived and Telarans are holding a grand Carnival in their honor. Come and party!
The Carnival of the Ascended can be found in multiple locations: within each of the faction cities and also at Fortune's Shore in Shimmersand. A portal links the cities to Shimmersand for quick and safe transportation to the carnival site.
These portals are only available from Phase 1 through Phase 4.
- Meridian to Shimmersand: Speak to Tubbs at (6173, 5227)
- Sanctum to Shimmersand: Speak to Tubbs at (7380, 3023)
- Shimmersand to Meridian: Speak to Cavy at (6658, 6855)
- Shimmersand to Sanctum: Speak to Gladys at (6649, 6834)
Completed Phases
P0: The Carnival Approaches
Phase 0 (the opening event) runs from February 22 until Phase 1 begins on February 29.
The preparations for the Carnival have begun! Telarans everywhere are starting to celebrate by placing dragon pinatas in the world, full of valued prizes. To help in finding them the Pinatas will display on the map.

The dragon pinatas are balloon mobs found in most zones. They can be tracked down by checking for a balloon icons (see above) on your map. They are treated as a foothold and when defeated will give its rewards in your rift loot bag. The rewards normally consist of some Glass Beads, but players on PTS were also reporting occasional rare loots such as Touch of the Shade.
Pinatas will remain around Telara through Phase 4!

P1: Anniversary of the Ascended
Phase 1 runs from February 29 until Phase 2 begins on March 7.
Rejoicing in the accomplishments of the Ascended the people of Merdian/Sanctum have opened a Carnival, full of games and prizes, marking the anniversary of the first Ascended's arrival in Telara.
- Defiant Phase Goal: Gather 100,000 materials to help build the Defiant Dragon Balloons for the upcoming parades.
- Guardian Phase Goal: Gather 100,000 materials to help build the Guardian Dragon Balloons for the upcoming parades.
- Contribute to your faction's phase by completing the Building the Parade Floats phase quests.
Characters must be at least level 10 to receive any event quests.

P2: Parade of the Dragons
Phase 2 runs from March 7 until Phase 3 begins on March 14.
The celebration continues! Dragon Parades march throughout Telara in honor of the Ascended, and the party has grown at Fortune's Shore.
- Defiant Phase Goal: Gather 100,000 Defiant Resolve Cores from Dragon Parades to help upgrade the Defiant Dragon Balloons.
- Contribute to this phase by completing the repeatable quest Corp of the Resolute.
- Guardian Phase Goal: Gather 100,000 Guardian Might Cores from Dragon Parades to help upgrade the Guardian Dragon Balloons.
- Contribute to this phase by completing the repeatable quest Corp of the Mighty.
Characters must be at least level 10 to receive any event quests.

P3: The Morning After
Phase 3 runs from March 14 until Phase 4 begins on March 21.
After two weeks of celebrating, jubilation has begun to turn to disorder. Hooligans are vandalizing the parades and the carnival crowds have become unruly.
- Defiant Phase Goal: Help keep the peace at the Carnival by dealing with 10,000 troublemakers in Meridian.
- Guardian Phase Goal: Help keep the peace at the Carnival by dealing with 10,000 troublemakers in Sanctum.
- Contribute to your faction's phase by completing the daily quests Fisticuffs! (PvE), Stop the Defiants (PvP), Stop the Guardians (PvP) and Trouble on the Route (PvE).
Characters must be at least level 10 to receive any event quests.

P4: Until Someone Loses an Eye
Phase 4 runs from March 22 until Phase 5 begins on March 29.
Hostilities between the factions grow as rumors of war begin to spread. The Dragon Parades have stopped their marches and the Carnival has begun to close up.
- Defiant Phase Goal: Help stop 10,000 saboteurs from attacking Defiant outposts.
- Guardian Phase Goal: Help stop 10,000 saboteurs from attacking Guardian outposts.
- Contribute to your faction's phase by completing Stop the Saboteurs and Stop the Master Saboteurs.
Characters must be at least level 10 to receive any event quests.

P5: Faction Insurrection
Phase 5 runs from March 29 until Phase 6 begins on April 12. It was announced that it would be extended by one week on March 30, 2012.
Factional hostilities explode into all-out war as the celebration of the Ascended is forgotten. The Ascended put aside their conquest of the dragons as they lead their armies into battle against their sworn rivals.
- Defiant Phase Goal: Kill 10,000 Guardians.
- Contribute to this phase by completing Attack the Outposts (PvE), Decisive Action (PvE), Enemy at the Gates (PvE), Stop the Guardians (PvP) or War Trophies (PvP)
- Guardian Phase Goal: Kill 10,000 Defiants.
- Contribute to this phase by completing Attack the Outposts (PvE), Decisive Action (PvE), Enemy at the Gates (PvE), Stop the Defiants (PvP) or War Trophies (PvP)

P6: War of the Wanton Maw
Phase 6 runs from April 12 until the event is shut off on April 18. Phase 5 was extended, shifting this one forward one week.
Amid the chaos of war, the Planes of Fire and Earth have launched an all out attack on Telara - the War of the Wanton Maw has begun! Putting aside factional conflicts, the Ascended rally to fend off the planar threat.
- Phase Goal: Defeat 80 Fire and Earth Zone Events
Characters must be at least level 10 to receive any event quests.

This is the last phase that you can use the Moneychanger and carnival event merchants! The only merchant that will remain after Phase 6 shuts off is the event title vendor. Make sure you use up all of your Prize Tickets and Glass Beads before this phase ends!
The Molten Gold Ingot currency you receive in this phase is also used in the next world event, War of the Wanton Maw!
