Battle Regimen

Battle Regimens are the Skillchains of FFXIV. Two or more players can use the Regimen system by coordinating their attacks (queuing) while in Battle Regimen Mode, then executing the regimen in order to produce certain effects for either the monster or players themselves. Note that only certain attacks done in a certain order will produce an effect.

Initiating a Regimen

Initiating a Battle Regimen can seem a little confusing. There are currently a lot of reports claiming that people are unable to get the system to work. Here is the current known method to use the system.

  1. While in battle, the player to initiate the first attack activates the Battle Regimen Mode, then activates the first attack to be used in the regimen.
  2. The 2nd player in the chain also activates Battle Regimen Mode, and activates the attack to be used. If there is a 3rd or more players, they do the same in the order of the regimen to be used.
  3. Once all players have queued their attacks, the first player in the chain initiates the regimen by either hitting G on the keyboard, or the Battle Regimen icon (which is now glowing pink)

This will launch the chain of attacks. If all connect, the effect of the regimen will take place. This can either be in the form of buffs for the players, or debuffs for the monster.
