Pretty awesome place for AA xp at 70. Go here with my 70 Monk + cleric merc a lot now. Usually camp near cubbies where a bunch of the low level named can spawn. All the ones around 68-71 or whatever. Everything cons dark blue, except for some named which can be higher, and give around 10-13% AA per kill. All the named I have killed so far are pretty easy if by themselves, like the Kyv Assassin, Ukun Tendonslicer, Noc Shadowwhatever, etc. Got a few runes and some good tribute/baz items to sell and like I said AA xp is nothing to laugh at. 70 Monk is 4/4 in CA/CS and about 80AA. Not too difficult to tank stuff.
However, if you've never been here before, stuff runs pretty damn fast. With RUN6 I can BARELY stay ahead of some mobs, like the girplans. They usually get a round or two of hits off before I can break away from them, but even then they are right on my heels.

I was curious if my 75 zerker with 9.5k hps unbuffed with 2.1k ac and my 72 shaman could duo here effectivly for aa and normal exp.

late reply, but a 75 bard can solo here, so i imagine a 70 melee + 70 healer type could duo very effectively. heck you could even try MPG (which would be easier pulling, too)
Easily.

Not too educated on how well the Shammys heals are at that level, but I know the zerker would be able to tank there with those stats just fine. I'm assuming you would be fine though as a duo.
58 war here with 7.5k hp and 1700 ac max defensive aa's do u think i could tank here?

Your ac is good enough to tank there.
Id stick to the south side and see how comfy you and your group are.
The hard part, is convincing people that it's not your hp that matters.

Posting from CaliforniaI always found the hardest part was convincing people that you don't have to be specifically a warrior to tank. People in general, prefer an underequipped warrior to a well equipped Shadowknight with more unbuffed HP than the warrior.
Being 58 I would say there are better options for you, if your 7500hp unbuffed you have enough hp to tank there but the fact you are level 58 all the mobs will be red and you will have trouble hitting to keep agro even with good agro weps, you will also have issues with avoidance/midge because of your low level. On top of all that you would actually be better off in AC or DN at 58 because the mobs have alot less hp so you can kill more faster. Now if your 7500hp buffed, theres no way you could tank in WoS. If you have any more questions

7.5k unbuffed... facts are, at 63 and like 5.6k hp's and 1.6k ac I was able to tank here w/ a slower. My sk only had the first 3 of each defensive aa's done at the time, so don't think I was wracked up w/ aa's or something. Tena and Dire were musts, which is the only reason I would count him out of being able to tank there, lack of being able to be buffed.
Anyways, I duo live murks, C1, etc w/ just my 68 sk, who's now at 8.5k hp's and 2.2k ac unbuffed using my 65 shaman for heals. He's a bit better off in the aa department these days, but as of yet has not maxed them all to the 19 point cap. Facts are, can he tank there? Very unlikely due to his inability to get and hold agro there. A slower would be a must, but hey, at that point you begin to need slowers all the time anyways.
These morons that focus sooo much on hp's, let me give you and idea of a group of mine the other night... 69 cleric, 68 rogue (me), 67 warrior, 63 bard, 65 sham and a 66 wizard. (This was in HoH btw) The warrior, thought he was sitting pretty w/ roughly 10.5k hp's unbuffed, but the fool only had 1.3k ac. The warrior died 3 times on double pulls. He couldn't keep agro. And the best part is, I'd say roughly 60% of the hits he took where in the 450-500hp range. My rogue, who ended up tanking after he died/left, sits at roughly 6.7k hp's and 1.6k ac. Agro was only and issue until the mobs gave me their backs for a brief second. The facts are, people think big hp's mean tough tanks, but it doesn't matter if you have 20k hp's if you can't keep from taking max hits, you're gonna die. This new Dwerium stuff is great, and I do have it on some of my toons, but it depends on what gems you use. These fools going w/ 10ac 475hp's 100 end are just that, fools. If you get the right cut gems, a tank can easily max melee stats, have 29ac 350hp's 250mana/end 23vs all resists, and 23 vs 4 stats using the right cut Taaf.
My SK currently has 2 dwerium items, no cultural. All bazaar bought. With a little bit of kiting and a bunch of down time, soloing is doable in WoS for him, and he does it on occasion, but since I got my 2nd account up and going, it's a good way to grind out exp and aa's as compared to HoH. (current hotzone)
Anyways, imo, it's these tanks that have the 10k hp's and 1.3k ac that make people believe you have to have massive hp's to tank. Where ac got lost over these years, I just don't know... I have, and always will, covet AC of HP's any and every day of the week. Maybe you fools who think hp's are the thing should try tossing on a couple items to increase your ac 2-300pts even if you lose a k or two hp's, trust me, you'll notice the difference, and your healers sure as heck will.

My 62 monk can offtank the mobs in here pretty easily, and can fully tank them if they're slowed, at 7.9k hp/1447ac. His stats are all max'd, but you should do ok, though I'd recommend getting a few more ac.

You may need a bit more AC to tank there - not sure. My war started tanking the south wall camps at level 65 with 8.1k/1580ac (true stats fully buffed). He did ok - not great compared to level 70 tanks lfg there but good enough to keep a group moving hours on end. This is with a good puller and or decent CC mind you. I had to use the stonewall disc for named mobs and things worked out. I only had like 5 AA when I started there as well.

The portals in the wall are for the Tarn Icewind triggered event.
Dark Disciple is missing from the mob list, he spawns upon death of mobs in the northern part of the zone if a clr with Enchanted Signet of the Discipls is in zone. he doesnt always drop the robe tho,,,,
I find that most of the named in this zone are now easily soloable.. As a level 70 mage i easily dispatch anything i come across. Which is great, makes it easy to farm for money if you can do it by yourself

Wondering if a 65 war can tank here w/ a regular pick-up group? As of this post, I have CS/CA attier 2 and ND 3. I stand around 5.7k unbuffed, and can get up yo 8.6k-ish(Maybe 8.7k, i forget) with Wunshi,Fort, BSS and Conv, and 1.4k AC. I wouldn't want to tank any of the nameds, but wondering if i could tank yard trash? Also, about how much HP would i need to tank the nameds?
Link to this post 1 reply
Absolutely! With a decent healer and slower you could take out most if not all the named on swall area (except maybe Shadowhunter, but he's not impossible...just a pain). Have fun and feel free to donate the runes to me for giving the great advice!
Good luck!

This zone isn't too hard, I don't bother even finding a tank anymore for WoS since I am a lvl 69 beastlord and I can tank the trash and the nameds easy with 1300 ac 8.5k hp, a druid healer is just fine too, just need good team work and some more Dps to cover my poor ac / defensive aa's. I am not elemental geared and have in there 100's aa, people need to take risks if you want rewards :).

Posting from TXThe only ignorant post here is yours... A beastlord of his level is more than capable of duo'ing here w/ a druid. W/ his stats, I'd say if his aa's are placed correctly it would be no problem. As far as the risk factor... Get a life, it's a friggin game man. If it's okay w/ whomever his partner is, there's no issue here. Come on, you die, you get rezzed and rebuffed, and you're back out hunting. Big deal, you lost 1-3 kills of exp after the rez and a little bit of time, and lets face it, if you're dropping time into EQ, you have time to blow.
Today i got whipped on a run to MPG. A furious Lightning elemental got me. Guild said it was an epic mob and dont see it posted here. It was around th taskfiends in field 2. Blue to me at 70. Saw invis. Highest hit on me was 770. Hope this helps =-D

Posting from Florida USANot sure about the event itself. Had a stray Dark Disciple come into camp. Conned dark blue to level 70. Was 1 groupable with a 14K tank.
Approx what lvl should one be to group here? 61 mage right now, would I get groups or am I too low really? Idc as much about exp as the sexy sexy loots. Thanks!
mobs were not nerfed for the lower trash area ya sometimes they just dont pop ive gone from 10 names in under an hour to a total of 2 in 4 hours i think they are on random interval timers...plus if ya arent killing the ph they never will pop. Also sometimes there is 30 toons fighting on the wall how many names ya really gonna see? Get a good fast puller (bard) and go nuts get a mezzer and keep mobs parked you will see that named count rise. Especially if ya camp the middle of the wall the ends tend to suck imho. Or just do yourself a favor and hang at ass or 2 pop

Oops! Almost forgot.... need WARMLY or better faction with Draniks Loyalists for the quest I posted below, from Korshawn
Master Ruphus Spellweaver
Master Ruphus Spellweaver
Quest: Tier 1 OoW INT caster/Silk Armor
NPC Name: Korshawn, Walls of Slaughter
Loc: Neg 1036, pos 833
You say, 'Hail, Korshawn'
The old dragorn studies you for a moment before he begins speaking in a low gravely voice, 'So, Ruphus, is it true what my kin whisper? That you have come to fight the Muramites? Hmm, you're ten years too late. Half of Kuua's warriors who would have fought by your side are now nothing more then [bones].' The other half have already sworn allegiance to Mata Muram. I'm not so sure which half is better off.?'
You say, 'what bones'
Korshawn says ''Many dragorn have fallen to the armies of the Muramites. As a chaplain of Dranik's forces, it was my responsibility to guide the passing of the dying warriors and bury their bodies so that they will be honored even in death. I buried each member of my unit, one by one, until only I remained. Consumed with despair, I abandoned the war effort to seek a life of solitude and anonymity.' The dragorn gazes off into the distance before continuing, 'Your arrival has been the first hope many of us have had in a long time. I wish I could join you as you make your stand against the Muramites, but I've long ago hung up my battle [heirlooms], swearing never to fight again.''
You say, 'omg what heirlooms, gimme your armor!'
Korshawn says ''I still have my battle dressings. They are part of an ancient set handed down from Dranik's chaplains before me. Perhaps you'd be interested in cloth armor for your [hands], [wrists], [arms], [head], [chest], [legs], or [feet]? The pieces are light and supple and served me well in the field. I can give you one piece for each service you perform in the interest of the children of Dranik.' '
You say, 'what hands!'
Korshawn says ''Harbinger's Spire was once a dragorn lookout tower which the Muramites have since bent to their own purposes. I studied there as a young chaplain, and I shudder to look upon what has those discordlings have done to it in these past years. Mata Muram uses the spire as a beacon to receive the tidings of his domain. Some of his captains possess crystal shards which can be used to control the beacon rising from Harbinger's Spire. If you are able to steal one of these crystals, it would mean a break in the Muramite chain of communication. Return with one of these spire control shards as well as two discordling finger bones. If enough shards are taken from the Muramites, they will be forced to abandon the tower.''
You say, 'what feet!'
Korshawn says ''When Discord first descended upon Kuua, many of my own kin turned traitor. There is talk of a traitors' stone, etched with the names of all dragorn who conspired with the enemy in those dire days. The Muramite captains carried these stones and used them to determine which dragorn to slay outright and which to spare with a life of slavery. If you can bring me one of these Kuuan traitor stones, along with two ikaav braids so I can hang the stones for all to see, it may enrage the remaining dragorn who are unhappy with Mata Muram's rule. In time they may gather the spirit of will to once again rise up against the Muramites. Your reward shall be the cloth slippers I wore back when I, too, fought against the enemies of Dranik.''
You say, 'what wrists'
Korshawn says ''We were created by a single great dragon, the great father known as Dranik. The first dragorn created many things in his honor. Among these creations was a fearsome battle standard painted with a drop of blood from each of Dranik's firstborn sons. This banner was carried by my kin through many battles and it has seen us through much strife. The last dragorn armies to carry the banner fell to the Muramites over a decade ago. No one can say where the Blood Standard of Dranik's Sons has gone, but the recovery of such an artifact will leave me in your debt. Return with this banner along with two hooked chimera claws to use as nails. I will ensure that the standard hangs over the mass graves of those who died fighting the Muramites. It's the least I can do to honor their deaths.''
You say, 'what head!'
Korshawn says ''When Discord first impinged upon our world, sentiments of treachery and paranoia crept into our lives. Dragorn turned on dragorn and soon longstanding friendships ended in bitter squabbling. One dragorn, Noble Yemall the Arcane, kept his wits long enough to realize what was happening. Before the Muramites came, Yemall toiled tirelessly to counter the effects of Discord. Although his efforts were ultimately in vain, it is said that he was able to author a treatise before the Muramites seized him. This treatise, entitled The Duskfall Chronicles, contains his reflections on the nature of Discord. No one knows what has happened to this text, but if you are able to recover it, I may be able to understand why so many dragorn met their end. Bring me this treatise along with two rugged murkglider skins to make a book cover. I will reward you with my former battle hood.''
You say, 'what chest!'
Korshawn says ''Before the Muramites came, the High Council of Eight ruled over Dranik. The eight nobles, lead by Jelvan the Eldest, each carried scepters that were said to be carved from the bones of the first dragorn sons and etched in ancient runes. It is said that these scepters will glow as long as their owner is alive. I have not seen the council since the Muramites overran our city, but I have heard that their scepters were handed out by Mata Muram as war trophies. If you can recover one of these scepters along with three Kuuan oil candles so I can study the runes, I will reward you with my former battle tunic!' '
You say, 'what legs!'
Korshawn says ''As you may know, Kuua was not the first world touched by Discord. There have been many others, for I have heard the Muramites tell stories of past conquests. One of the stories they tell is that the last ember of a Discord-ravaged city will burn for many years long after the ruins of the city itself have been buried by time. Some say it's the city's spirit slowly dying. Others claim it to be a side effect of the Discord's lingering magic. Regardless, these embers are highly valued by the legions of Discord, for Mata Muram rewards them to his fiercest captains as war trophies. If you can bring me one of these embers along with three Dragorn Muramite insignia necklaces, I can reward you with my former battle leggings. I have no need of them any longer, and I can use that ember to light the pyres of my kin who have fallen to the Muramites. It would be an honorable tribute to both my kin and the unknown city that have both fallen to Discord.''
You say, 'what arms!'
Korshawn says ''I respect your willingness to help, but this will not be an easy task. As you may know, the armies of Mata Muram are but one aspect of Discord's deep shadow. The Darkening ravaged not only the denizens of Kuua, but also the landscape as well. Many of our old landmarks no longer stand, and the sky -- once blue and vast -- now seethes with ash and storms. If you can find a map of Old Kuua, one drawn before the coming of Discord, it may help me to infer the location of the ancient barrows of my kin. I need to find them before the Muramites manage to pillage the graves of my ancestors. Return with one of the old maps as well as two jagged noc tusks so I can hollow them out and create a safe place to keep the map. Do this for me and I can reward your efforts with my cloth arm wraps.''

I'd like to give a special thanks to a wonderful friend and a GREAT druid named Naechurman, if it wasn't for him, I never would have found this guy :)
Will post the stats of more items as I get them, the Spelldevisers Cloth Wristband is in Lucy though.
Master Ruphus Spellweaver
Arcanist and Occifer of Insanity
Notabilis Kruoris, Innoruuk Server
You say, 'what legs!'

hey i have a *hint* for all you groups who think they can take on level 75 mobs, let me tell you ... you can't ! Cipheron and Velitorkin don't play nice so unless you got about 35 of ur guildies with you . leave them the hell alone.

Posting from TXCipheron is fun to play with... I run to him when I've accidentally picked up a train pulling ( as a warrior so its likely) he hits me and wham proc FD so no-one dies... then wait for agro clear message and leg it away form Cipheron.
Work great agroing shadowhunter as well for that effect... just make sure you have enough hp
