Plane of Nightmare

HOT ZONE
In the mists of the darker portions of the astral lurks the Plane of Nightmares, home to the horrors that crouch in the subconscious of all creatures' minds. A dense forest dominates much of the plane, pockmarked by many small clearings. The trees are gnarled, their bark twisted into patterns that resemble horrific faces. These sentient creatures are powerful and malevolent, springing to life when any mortal being enters the realm. A river bisects the forest, eventually pouring into a great, murky lake. In the caverns beneath the earth live still more nightmares.

All indigenous creatures of the Plane of Nightmares serve the Dream Scorcher, Terris-Thule. The demi-goddess daughter of Cazic-Thule, she is the master of the subconscious who terrorizes those drawn into her realm as they slumber.

At the way back of the Hobgob caves. He is pretty much solo except for a few bats around him. I was able to not aggro the bats once I tried it out a few times.

He is level 75 and a Shadowknight and likewise is a lot of melee and harmtouches.

I DA'd and ran in and he harmtouched me a few times.

Max hit was 1291. Most hits were in the 200s-600s though. He hits kind of fast. But its kind of weak. Necro was able to channel through to fd.

Just looked up from Monstrous Manual: The wraith is an evil undead spirit of a powerful human that seeks to absorb human life energy.
These horrible creatures are usually seen as black, vaguely man-shaped clouds. They have no true substance, but tend to shape themselves with two upper limbs, a torso, and a head with two glowing red eyes. This shape is a convenience born from the habit of once having a human body.

Then why don't they react to spells like undead?

WW is an abreviation for werewolves often called when people ooc for a camp check. With GY to your back head left over the water fall hugging the wall cross high up, often there are spawns that will aggro if you cross low. you will eventually come to the WW camp. hope this helps.

Camps don't exist in the eyes of the creators. Players have created camps and their names. People will call camps what they want when they want. For instance they could call this camp Ravenous Nightstalkers one day and call them the WW, wolves, werewolves, nightclub, or even Pound another day. WW could mean the west wall of the town with the gargoyls. Mostly it fits a description, if you don't understand then ask the person using the description, not the people with pathetic lives that read these stupid message boards. And yes I am one of those pathetic people. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to describing an area unless the person is being a total goof.

Seems to me that if you're in a zone and ask for a camp check, you should at least be able to work out what the responses mean, whether everyone uses the same ones or not.
Each abbreviation has a number of different applications: if someone was looking for a ride to WW in PoK, it wouldn't mean Werewolves or West Wall :)

This guy is part of a chain of named mobs.

First kill "The Bullyrag Bat" (caps) in the bat cavern. This spawns The Painwracked Hobgoblin.

Head to the next cavern to the west and kill The Painwracked Hobgoblin. This spawns another named in the westmost cavern.

Kill the named in the westmost cavern, this spawns the Anguish Lord (named hobgoblin) and his two guards in the last cavern (south of the cavern that the Painwracked was in).

No idea what the Anguish Lord is for just yet. He's read at 65, as is one of his guards (the bat). The mephit guard is yellow at 65.

My group tonight killed 61 of these guys ...... SIXY ONE ! We did not see a single parchment drop. Prior to tonight's hunt we would get about 1 every 2-3 hours or so on average.

Can anyone confirm or deny parchment drops from the hobgoblins outside the caves since the latest patch ( 11 / 19 / 2002 ) or did they nerf this like everything else so far?

Mujaki is a boss type encounter in an event. Goes like this. You get your people to the city in the south east section of the zone. In the middle back of that city, there is a large structure with stacks atop it. Go in there with all your people - you can only have 24 people for this event.

A wandering erudite stops in the building, blue to 63, indifferent. Forget his name right now. When your 24 people are ready, have each leader say "I am ready" around him and you'll be ported to the arena for the event, much like trials in PoJ.

Kill horses in the open area. From here, it's up to you to come up with a strat that'll work for your group - several will work. The event will spawn 36 servants over a period of time from three different spots. East, west and south of the platform where Mujaki is (he's untargetable). If a servant reaches the platform, they turn into a rider and become untargetable. Once all 36 have spawned (and been killed or made it to the platform), then Mujaki and his servants become targetable. Can split him, they all corpse camp. Slowable, hits in the 850 range, proc's a hard to resist fear, 100-200k hp I'd guess.

Has some good drops. Caster/priest cloak with 80 mana and hp on it along with some other stats, we got two of those last night. heard he has a pretty decent bow. Also will drop 2 nodrop norent stones that have one charge of evacuate on them. No way to get out of the event sides to gate/port. Stones make it alot easier to get out.

Etumer is the younger brother of Mujaki, and Mujaki is a fallen Paladin. There's a series of books in the PoK Library about them both. To cut a long story short Etumer led Mujaki's girlfriend astray and also managed to be their father's favourite son. In a fit of rage Mujaki killed all three and tripped and fell on his sword during his escape. His spirit is now trapped by Terris Thule in the Plane of Nightmares.

So, is Etumer giving you the quest to finally finish off his brother or attempting to set free Mujaki's tormented soul?

Tried Terror Matriarch tonight with a single pickup group consisting of...

61 Rogue (me)
62 Paladin
61 Enchanter
61 Ranger
62 Shadowknight
61 Cleric

Highest I was hit for was 656, she DOES flurry. we got her to 70% with this group, and she had 2 little spiders that she summoned. We died pretty quick. With quick heals we might have done better, but our cleric tried Cheal too late and our pally went down fast.

Oh yeah, the spiders she summoned are called Abhorrent Hatchlings, and they hit in the low 200's.

raw diamonds are a component for a Greasy Diamond of Innovation (tinkered), which is one of the pieces for the crafted (pottery I think) hammer that has Enhancement Haste IV for a focus effect.

I saw em in the bazaar (Rathe server) last night selling for 100pp. Have a few that I can vendor for 175pp (ally faction w/150cha).

They are indeed pretty common drops off of the Ravenous Nightstalkers and other assorted yard trash in this zone.

Our enchanter mezzed 2 tree adds with GoK then another resisted GoK and Rapture so druid AE root would rock.

Deyid the twisted. Turn right along that wall by the grave yard and follow it so the wall is on your left. look off to the right and you will see a big plateau. Walk around the plateau til you see a scared woman. Her name is Seilaen. Talk to her and she will port 1 group up to the top. That's right 1 group. So don't bother bringing a raid force. LOL We had a 60 war, 61 druid, 60 wiz, 60 cleric, 60 necro, and me 57 enchanter. As you fight Deyid some of his treant minions get closer, and begin to surround your party. We got him down to about 40 percent life before the first wave of treants came and took us out. Unsure if they were GoK'able, but were blue to me at 57 and pretty sure they could be. At the very least get yourself a 61 ENC with apathy and you should be fine. He hits hard, I'd say about 700ish max, but is slowable (at least i did it at 57 after a tash) and his HP is pretty low considering his lvl. Good luck.
