Playing on the Mayong 51/50 server, doing my druid 1.0 quest, and needed faction for Alrik Farsight in TD. As of right now, Niola is not accepting batwings. She gave them back to me and said she had no need for them.

I had a lvl 46 druid, trying to get the bowl part of the epic. So i went to Timorous without reading on, to find out that i had to get faction up. So i went to the DE seller in west PoK, and bought about 2000 (they stack to 100 now) Then i ran over to here, and started handing them in. May take ages, but at least u can carry on with ur epic...

I just verified this :))))
Shrouding down to a rogue - sneaking and hiding behind Niola AND doing the batwing quest works very well!!! Using the formula I found by this kind soul who posted this (below) in combination with the above website got me to warmly *comparitively* quickly (had killed in OOT, neriak and commons for hours and hours and still threateningly) Using this, went from threateningly to warmly with 1-2 hours. It is now INFINITELY faster as the wings stack to 100.

Just tried this today 1/8/07 and can confirm the bat wing quest is working...300 batwings later im amiable from indifferent and now i can finish my rangers epic!!

She no longer takes bat wings. Says she has no need for them. I think this quest is broken or removed.

I'm trying to repair my ruined Keeper faction but cannot approach Niola for the bat wings quest. I've been killing Gix in W.Commons for the past two days but haven't seen any improvement -- most of the other available mobs aren't quite practical for my lvl 51 mage to reach and camp, and neither Elishia Leafrunner nor the elven slaves will accept anything I try to give them. I was wondering if I were to max faction with Faydark Champs and King Tearix (the Muffin for Pandos quest in W.Freeport is working great) if that might allow me to approach Niola, or if the lowest faction determines how they con to you overall?
Unfortunately, as long as your Keepers faction stinks with Niola, steer clear of her..she'll get ya! I have the same prob you do...I've got good faction with the other two (Champions and Thex), but poo poo faction with Keepers (I was a dumb little mage in my younger levels!)...anyhoo, this is what you do: buy as many bat wings from the DE coffin seller in PoK, get into the highest rogue (shroud) level you can...get your hide and sneak ready...hide AND sneak into Niola's room and get BEHIND her (very important). Then start handing her (unstacked) your bat wings....viola! There's the faction you need. Of course, if your keeper's faction is still bad as mine is, just keep turning in the bat wings as much as you can. Your faction will eventually go up again...just be patient! You can check your faction by invising and sneaking in, target her, get out of room and go to that room across from hers, uninvis and check your faction with her. GL! ;-)
UPDATE: Just an FYI..I started at KOS to Niola...it took me approx. 4600 batwings just to get to threatening. :-/

Just a FYI on the shrouding thing. I shrouded into a goblin rogue and did the hide sneak thing. The goblin is now amiable but In my Half elf form I'm still apprehensive
I know this reply is a bit late, but in answer to the shrouding of this particular quest, yes, it USED to be where you could turn in tons of bat wings and it would increase only your shroud's faction and not the 'real' you, but they changed it...it will now increase your unshrouded toon's faction. (I did this quest four times before it was 'fixed'.)
I think it should mention a little higher up in the posts, I had to ask a mage i happened by, she is in south felwithe...took me a while to get to her and you have to have the faction to start the trueshot, which you have to do to get the raincaller. so there you go.

From what I can tell thre are two fairly easy ways to do this quest if you are a ranger or druid trying to re-build faction for epic quest. Sneaking behind her should work for the turn in. Since I am a Wood Elf druid ...sneak was not an option. What I did was this, Put four ( non stacked) batwings in the trade window. Before hitting trade, use Hide ( con her to see if it worked) when she cons indiff ( due to sneak or hide) hit the trade button and collect your flare scroll, your exp, and best of all your faction.

On my human ranger I started out indifferent to Alrik and her. 11 stacks of batwings later (yes handed in individually, 4 at a time) I hit amiable. I had brought 25 stacks with me, and for some reason I decided to hand her the rest. 14 stacks after hitting amiable, I was still amiable.
I feel for those of you who start out at dubious though.

Ok I was doing Druid Epic..and ran into trouble with the Alrik Farsight part due to faction. To raise faction with him I was pointed to her. However, somewhere along my travels I went down a few notches in the faction meter. I tried handing in Batwings 4 at a time UNSTACKED. She stole my batwings and basically said oh well. I even tried handing them in under wolf form. Again, she stole my wings and laughed. This time, I pulled a guildy along and handed her 4 wings, again unstacked, and then had guildy invis me. Bingo. I decieved the Biatch and recieved my faction hits and gained what little experience she had to offer. Now to only do it a few hundred more times.
Btw. I never checked my faction with her before I started. But, after 8 stacks of wings I am Dubious.
Keepers of the Art = Better
King Tearis Thex = Better
Faydarks Champions = Better
The Dead = Worse

All those young elf not all but many. Killed some slave in Crushbone in our very young age so we are dubious. Those slave gave very large faction hits about 2 kill and you are dubious about 5 and you will be kos in South Felwithe.

hey guys. go to your local guildmaster. THEY ALL TRAIN THOSE 3 SKILLS! Its apparent that for some reason or other this NPC in particular wasn't training them and now is.

Well if she does teach that stuff beyond 20, then I would like to know as well. Although since she is a Mage trainer, I can't train anything from her being a Druid :/

After MUCH experimentation, we were able to confirm that she treats _any_ stack as a single batwing. ie, a stack of 4 batwings is counted as 1 batwing. Best you can do therefore is 1-1-1-1, anything else is just wasting wings.

Wolf Form worked like a dream for me, she was happy to accept and give faction for bat wings.

Well, as I didnt get any faction messages turning in batwings, I decided to go anon and check out Kizdean Gix in WC.
I think I killed him about 6 to 7 times when I tried to talk to Ms. Impholder again. She was ever so nice all of a sudden. So, my advice would be: kill the scowling darkelf NPC for quick faction with Niola. Kizdean respawns every 3 minutes or so, and he is always in the same spot. Should be an easy kill for someone over 25. At last I got those wanted faction reports and that is what I needed. Hopefully Alrik Farsight will talk to me now also.

Actually, Kizdean is on about an 8 minute spawn time... I just healed a friend's alt while I waited for him to pop.
Well, I hoped she'd con ally to me after killing all those orcs in CB. Apparently this seems to be forgotten. Those uptight high elves .... she cons apprehensively but she is so rude! I gave her 25 stacks of batwings and still no sign of faction. She keeps telling me that she will nothing of aid for my kind. A deception. But I will attack her again with stacks of batwings until she gives in. I promise you.

I am a Halfing Druid and I have no idea how I became dubious to Keepers of Art but Niola won't give me the quest either. I was able to do it by standing behind her and sneaking though no problem.

To start the epic quest, you need faction with Telin Darkforest. You can raise that by turning in the muffins to Pandos. Recently, muffins have become scarce in FP. You can make them spawn by a quest with the Innkeeper at Jade Tiger by the bank in FP. Bake at least 10 muffins, then hail the Innkeeper, who mentions shortages, you then tell him that you can bake [fresh muffins]...he will hand you a 10 slot bag (combinable)..put 1 muffin in each slot, combine and give back to him. He will then despawn and immediately respawn with 4 stacks of muffins on him. Quickly open the trade window and buy his supply. I have been told that you should not need more than 8 stacks to raise faction high enough.
Farios Elianos is the NPC for which you need Keepers of the Art faction, further along in the quest for part of the runed bowl. He is in the library of the building in South Felwithe that is immediately opposite the tunnel where you zone in. This building has the gem-seller in the first room, turn right and the first door in the hall facing you is the library.
I discovered the hard way that I was KOS in all caster guilds...I only remember being with a necro friend a very long time ago, and killing Linara Parlone in Najena. That may be the source of my bad faction, otherwise I have no idea how it got to KOS. To raise faction enough to do the batwing (or the black wolfskin) quest, I have only found one way...kill Kizdean Gix in WC.
I have been doing this for some time now, when I have some time free from my regular group, and my guild...I am at least not KOS now, but still dubious, and unable to get her to accept the batwings. I will surely try the invisibility suggestion, and I thank you for that, oolish!

niola's faction is keepers of the art. have not researched how to improve that. but if your a ranger or druid and you need to start your epic and are kos to some of the npc's you need to visit, i suggest turning in muffins to pandos. thou, i would make sure you are an ally to niola before you visit pandos. he will kill you. niola will help improve faction for faydark champions, which he is a follower. he will in turn help with clerics and soldiers of tunare. make sure you are ally before you start your epic.

The problem is that sometimes your faction is so bad that she might not give you the batwing quest even in wolf form. This is the answer put your batwings in trade window 4 stacks of 4 then have a friend invis you then click the trade. Rinse repeat. Eventually she will trade normally with you. Took me 600 batwings to get amiable ( dont know wwwhat i killed to get that dubious) hope this helps oolish 53 druid of quellious

I did not have problems with faction with Niola, but for the first response on this page, to get faction up with Telin, you may want to try the muffin quest for Pandos in WFPort first. I had to do 21 stacks of muffins to him. It took me much time. Good luck

To get faction up with Niola, you can kill about 2k Crushbone Orcs. Now, I am amiable and am doing the Batwing Quest in order to get faction up with Telin Darkforest for Druid Epic. Unfortunately, I have turned in about 2k batwings and am still KOS to Telin in BW.

im a druid and i need to turn batwings in to gain faction for keepers of art .. problem is Niola con apprehensive and wont allow me to hand them in . So does anyone know how i could gain faction for her. or maybe an alternate way to gain faction for keepers of art.

Try using wolf form.. that helped for me. She didnt want my batwings either til I was in wolfform. After I had wolfform, it took me about 15 stacks of batwings to get her to amiable. There's batwings for unlimited sale in the first hut in EC when you zone in from WC, btw.. so you don't have to buy them from newbies if you're in a hurry. Worked for me!

I tried wolf form, superior camo, and she still will not take batr wings from me. I con dubiously to her in person and in wolf form. Camo's I am indiff but she sees through that little trick. I have resorted to killing Gix in West Commons which gives me Keepers of the Art faction. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.
