I did the turn in for the fake report tonight (err last night). I was indif to the box normal (Apprehensive or dubious to everything else). The box took my fake report and gave me the real one. Guard spawned, LT Blue to a 57 chanter, mezzed him, ran for zone, came back in, did the turn in, got my second Earring. Whole thing took 20 mins tops once you find the Erudite turn in guy and the box.

I did this quest a day or so ago, and thought I would share info for anybody who finds this.
I found out that you have to be VERY close to the Cabinet to give it the records, and if you try to give the records from too far away, it breaks your invis somehow. The Cabinet will see you, and you'll need another invis. But, to make things easier, I had a 41 Druid there to help.
After I finally handed in the records, Guard Hargar spawned. He was an even /con to my 37 Froggy Warrior, summoned me only once (so yes he does summon, even at 37), and procs Root to keep you from running. He hits hard, like any other Luclin mob, and has a ton of hitpoints for his level. I would guess double the norm. Cant guess about being hasted. Anyway, the fight was too hard, so the Druid cast Lesser Succor and bailed us out of there. I'd beaten down the guard to 50% and the Druid had already healed me for 300 points several times. His mana must not have been keeping up with the fight. Either way, turned in the stuff and got my +2 Earring.
Some interesting information on the Cabinet... For attacking it, you get the message "A File Cabinet creaks loudly as it is disturbed." However, it seems your are no longer able to attack the cabinet, as it was INVULNERABLE to my Magical weapons and didnt budge an inch. The message you receive may serve to gain aggro from wandering guards, but there were none around when I looked out the door.

I just finished this part of quest today! went real smooth. Only problem was that it stated to go invised but i was still at ready to attack! so just out of wonder i put wolf on and findly was indifferently to the file Cabinet! got my note and rooted Guard hargrar and zoned with gate. turned in report and earring and got my Etched Earring of Veracity! Now on to the next Quest!
