Oryx and Reixfamn Dragonclaw, first to take him on Mayong. 3rd of July 2009. Top levels on the server, 73 and 73 with 2 mercs, he went down easy, the hardest part was getting to him and clearing his guards.

72 ranger w/merc, couple of potions when merc's mana got low, basically pulled all his guards to rooms north west corner. I was able to root a couple of them, once all his goons were dead he turned his back to me,,so I took the opportunity to mem up and rebuff...about 20 min fight...dropped 5 spells, bonecruse, globe and two attuned spirl shards. 16.5k hp, 2400 ac, used disc weapon shield, and trueshot in combine with hail of arrows...hardest thing was acquiring agro on all his guards so they wouldn't slap my merc silly,,,next time just might use the passive portion of the merc during the battle ,,no idea on respawn time but will post if I know.

What's the respawn time on this mob?

killed grieg today being a 78 cleric.
hardest part is getting the shadows down...
it's really a fact that luclin mobs have ALOT of hp,dang ... :-s
fighting grieg from 100% to 0% took me about 30 minutes, but i never went below 90% hp, he really hits like a ... euhm, cleric :p
his knockback is unresistable, but not really a pain when you hit your back against a wall
dropped a bunch of spells, 2 boots, a belt and the gloves

killed him with 4ppl a pally, mage, cleric, and druid toke and 20-30 minutes

Aye, I am one who did solo Grieg about 2 weeks ago at around 1:30am EST. Had my pally bot camped in griegs End so when I took the punk down, he could loot.

As far as the fight, well, took about 45 min from start to finish. Cleared the adds with the outrageous amount of hit points and then went to town on that punk, Grieg. Dropped a Jenny's and a silken bridle that my pally bot could use, ran him up there to loot, woot!

My main is a Level 75 Paladin with 1200AA's, Demi-geared. So, the fight was easy-peasy, just long, due to Luclin mobs having an enormous amount of HP.

I deiceded to Take on this monster with my uberly equipped level 1 trader mule weighing in at 550 lbs and equiping nothing but mt trusty Glooming Deep Mighty sword.I went into this battle with the thought of all the Wrestling moves I have seen on TV since the days of HULK HOGAN.Was a tough battle ,but my years of standing in 1 place eating fatty foods and high colorie content goodies seemed to give me the edge.Especially all my resist that were at an average of 20 might of helped me some.The guards standing around him ran in fear as they saw the bulkiness of my body and my huge beer drinking belly that flopped over my non wearing belt ass.Before the fight even began Greig pleaded with me for a bit offering a submission and a forfeit,but I would not take that as a means not to kick his ass!And so now my Level 1 trader mule stands in glory proudly wearing his Jenniy Two Tone Cuirass!

Very easy these days duoed him with a 75 bard

Can Grieg be tracked? Has anyone ever seen him show up?

Ever sit and read this crap .. I mean really? You have someone saying the solo'd him in 1 hour 20 minutes ... then a few people posting they were witnesses and all agree it was a Solo fight. Oh but we did keep his guards down and outta the way *ding ding ding* ... that aint Solo.

Really the most rediculous thing in these posts is how 1 class say Shaman for example say's (Chest puffed up and Kilt floppin in the wind), yeah I solo'd Grieg and fight ended after 1 hour, in the hallway. Since I know how to position him. ROFLMFAO, a few more posts below it you hav 2 Nec 2 Cle 1 Dru 1 SK all very close in lvl as the Ubbah BS shaman that tell you they Froaked it up and died in 20 minutes with Grieg at 2%.

Yet a bit further down some really Ubbah BS'r tis talking about how he killed it in 40 minutes and it was a very easy fight.

Never the less your all my Hero's ... but, please use a little more Finess when spinning your Yarn. So that when someone bored outta there mind while waiting for another round of golems (which some lvl 75 toon Ele / Time / Ang / Omen / Tss geared toon will just Gang rape soon as they pop)to spawn in PoFear for a 1.0 epic in the works for years. ..... can find it a little more believable.

PS: its time now for the Flaming ... knock your socks off. feel free to bash my spelling / punctuation/ runonsentences :-) . As I have said before ==> I came .. I posted .. and will never be back to read this page again anyway.

What does it take to spawn him? Do you have to kill the room or what?

Just took this mob on Nameless... Heard of a SK soloing him... Monk was 70, Necro(me) was 75... took well over an hour Pet would off tank while Monk regened up to rush in and disc.. whole fight took over an hour... was fun fight through and through.. Much love for old school worlds...

Just soloed him on Cleric self buffs only

how much hp do you think he has?

Yesterday I 3-boxed Grieg, I used an Anguish geared Bard, and a Tacvi Druid, and a Qvic/Time Shadowknight. Druid never dropped below 90m and the SK never dropped below 30 health. I put Grieg in the left corner of his room as you're walking in. I stuck the druid behind the Spire and it was done after that.

From beginning to end, I had about 40 minutes invested.

Grieg is fun, just did him with 65 monk, 65 zerker, 64 dru, 70 pally, and 70 clr.
Only one with time/qvic gear was clr, rest were baz gear or PoP.

Walking proof that it doesnt take a group of EP+ geared ppl to kill him. Took right around 1 hour to kill grieg himself.

P.S.
Pally was tank and had less than 10k HP buffed.

Oh and had a unkown lvl chanter (boxed was blue to me at 70) Spire shard and Ulak dropped, chanter got spire and ulak rotted

yay shms can solo i solo'd grieg last night on AB lvl 70 shm 11.3k hps buffed was a hour and a half long fight... shm dps was a fun fight he droped the BP,a sword, and the DL port clicky

I read below that the spawn time was 6 days plus, but just want a second opinion and need to know for sure.. am planning to raid him for guild this sunday

65 cleric & 70 necro. We'd been killing him with 65 shaman, 70 necro, 70 chanter, 65 cleric and decided to have the shaman/chanter sit out to see if we could do it. Took about 24 minutes.

Greig droped for 7 people yesterday. Fight took mabey 30minutes (mabey alot less), though we did mess the position up when he was around 50% it just made it that more interesting. Main group was...
69 cleric
70 warrior
70 necro
70 bst
70 chanter
67 druid

and my box (69 necro) died cause i ignored him lol.
As far as strats go, all i was basicly doing on my cleric was chain casting cure blidness on our tank, druid kept everyone else alive. Greig does flurry if i remember right, his "fling" AE is prettymuch unresistable (atleast with less then 300MR) and makes the fight fun! He doesnt regen much, but his HP is godly. All in all it was afun fight, 4 spells, the BP, spire, shard, bonecurse, and orb of luclinite all droped. mostly trophys to those that wanted them, still no SK spells. -.-

Challenged him today with a single group, all EP-geared or worse:
70 Necro
70 Necro
66 War
68 Clr
70 Druid
56 Druid

56 Druid and Cleric were dualboxed by the two Necros. We got him down to 2% in a little over 20 minutes, at which point we totally fubared the positioning and ended up aggroing the mobs back by orb and several more from god knows where. So, in theory we should have had him, but we got sloppy at the end.

I haven't swore that much in a long time, argh!

Could a group or something like this take him down: ( ? )

Well. 9 of us impromptu went after him tonight. Avg. level 60.

Took down the guards.. using 2 FD classes to pull. Got 3 or 4 at a time to start with.. Got them all dead..

Pulled Grieg.. well, amusing.

AE DD prevented much being cast.
