Deklean Korgad says 'Never heard of deep spores have you? Well if you're going to be spending some time down here you'd best learn quickly. Deepspores are the only thing edible in this cavern. Most of the mushrooms down here will sooner eat you then allow them selves to be eaten! The Deepspores are different though, if you cook them a bit they're the most delicious food in the universe!'
--note: i couldn't get anything else out of him despite using every combo of possible phrases, so i just gave him 4 unstacked deep spores
Deklean Korgad eyes the spores hungrily. He shoves them all in his pockets and looks at you. 'I appreciate that friend, you've proven yourself worth a bit of trust. I hate to take the mushrooms and run, but I have to get across the [chasm] soon. Here take this, thanks for the mushrooms!

I wouldn't wander around too much unless you're feeling lucky. There's nothing the thought horrors like more than a loud obnoxious band of would be heros that come crashing into their home. They especially like playing with the corpses of those that fall through that fake bridge out there.
results in faction with Deklean (whoopie), experience (negliglbe at 64), and a fungus covered hunk of rock that, when combined with lev will allow you to gently land in the chasm:

OK this guy does the deepspore quest.Turn in 4 deepspores to him and get in return a Fungus Covered Hunk of Rock(no drop). This allows you if you fall into chasm to only take 138 hp's of damage vs taking 20k damage.You sorta float down into chasm as if you had a levi on. It doesnt help you see bridge any more than if you didnt have this item only if you should happen to fall it saves your life.

Anyone able to confirm this post above? Does it indeed give you an item that lets you float down to bottom?
I have done the quest and have the item, guess I could go check it out myself and see.

After killing the YTL, smack a shrieker down to 10%, on most occasions he will flee across the invis bridge. Only way so far that I have found to cross it. Am going to try turning the four deep spores to Dek and see if that could reveal the bridge as well. Will keep ya posted.

Hes talking about the Iniviso bridge in the deep that leads to the thought horror overfiend really freakky running over nothing knowing full well if you fall ur dead. Its between two pillars and its down farther than the fake crystal bridge.

he is level 66 , he was red to a few 60's in the group and hits for 450 maxx. A 60 warrior with over 4khp and 1.3k AC died in 5 seconds from this guy.

After you hail this guy and prompt him to talk about the deepspore mushrooms you can give him 4 deepspore mushroom pieces and he'll in return tell you about a bridge and give you: a fungus covered hunk of rock Lore No Drop. I have no idea what this is for and am curious to see if it is a key to a dungeon or the bridge he refers too.

hmmm . they talk about the big pit in the deep on eqatlas and says if you look right there is a bridge but if you step on it you fall through ... maybe if you hold that nodrop thing after turnin in the 4 spores you can walk across the bridge without falling down just a thought.. pls let me know if it works )

I am in deep and I am level 56 and this mob is red to me so Maximum level 50 is not right.
and becareful in deep the mobs are very strong resist and hit around 212.
