i know this post is gonna be redundant, but can anyone confirm that this mob still spawns on the Combine? just got an addy club for my monk, wanted to get him the baton to go with. feeling kinda nostalgiac, i guess. :) anyway, been here for 2 days and its been the ph every time. at this point i'd be happy to see the named even if he didnt drop the BoRS, just so i know im not wasting my time. at first i thought i might have been in the wrong spot, but it looks just like the picture, and the /loc is the same as in some previous posts, so im pretty sure im here, its just not spawning. please.. please, someone post some post some info. thanks..

I've killed that PH 10 times. He's a rare spawn I heard. Just wondering if anyone knows for a fact that he spawns.

Yes, he was up when I went into Chardok last. That would have been right after the OOW patch.

camped him for 4 days straight last weekend 9/1/2002, saw him probably 30 times, most i ever got was 1 crystallized sulfur and 1 sapphire necklace. No bracer, no mantle, no stun stick. I'd say he's nerfed pretty badly, as if his three loot drops are blanked out totally.

Camped him last night on Solusek Ro server. Only stuck around for 3 rounds of the Observer but he dropped the mantle and two bracers. I've camped him before and never saw anything drop. I think it might just be luck of the draw since I've heard of this happening before.....30 kills and no drops, then 5 kills and 5 drops. BTW, he conned DB to me at 53. Good luck,

HI dose any one know the loc on this observer
Through the fort, over the bridge, room on the right. Loc is 0, -310, -16. Camped him a couple times now. Got him twice so far but only dropped Crystalized Sulphur. :(

Was camping here and got him to spawn twice and both times he dropped the mantle. not bad little piece. I got the first one being an int caster with junk for shoulders then next time gave to an SK. Gotta love those Guild exp grind groups

The Rare drop off Observer ...... is the Baton of Royal Stature. then mantle, then the bracer. bracer has dropped 4 or 5 times and mantle twice baton once.

We camped this tonight on RN server, and he popped 3 out of 4 times so far. 1st was mantle, then ph, then 2 Batons in a row. What is his rare?

The information in the post titled "stats on the mob" by Zorz is all correct.
We held this camp for several hours last night -- break-in is the hard part, and if you follow a stronger group jumping off the bridge and heading for captain, you can do this camp with a much weaker group than much of the rest of the zone. The spawn time here is 21:30 instead of 14:00 like the rest of the area; the room itself has only two spawns (observer/PH and a junk undead mob); and the only area around here where even a novice puller will grab more than two mobs is if they try and pull from far across the bridge, which is hardly necessary.
On about 11 runs through the cycle here we saw the Observer himself 4 times and his PH the remainder -- not a bad batting average at all. Drops were two nathsar bracers, one baton of royal stature, one fancy velvet mantle.
Some pulls to this area (particularly the hemlocks) are prone to gating.
I think that about covers it.

He spawns in the alcove located down after the first bridge.
He conned blue to me the 2 times he spawned, I am 55 about to ding 56.
He is easier than his place holder A Diz' Observer. The placeholder was always even to me.
We got one staff and one bracer. Its a fun fight and a good set of drops.
