Ive killed brogg now over 25 times ive collected 21 shields and 4 bracers the rarity on the ebon mace for me at least is ridiculous i know the weapon isnt worth the trouble of camping but im collecting alot of these old world items and ive kept killing him. Im just hoping this bad streak ends i mean isnt the bracer supposed to be the rarest drop how can i get 4 of them and no mace doesnt make sense oh well back to clearing phs....update now 28 kills 23 shields and 5 bracers...

I soloed Brogg and his two froglok friend as a 61 rogue with no merc and i did not go under 98% health so i have no idea what you all have been doing.

Heh, 5+ years ago it wouldnt have been that easy for you either. Do you have any idea what type of gear we were wearing back then compared to what you've got available to you now?

Anyway, I wanted to farm the bracer for my son's ranger and I was suprised I remembered how to find this guy.
We (51 Wizard & 51 Ranger using mostly old-school gear) had a little trouble getting down there and clearing the camp, but thanks to his merc it turned out alright. Ok, here it is. He has a 25 min spawn time. and spawns at -1106, -724, -111. East path down past the first disco room. Library is on the left on your way down, and hidden passage on bottom floor of Library. GO to the end, with the pool of Blood and Chains, He spawns against the wall with a Froglok on each side of him. Good luck.

More than likely yes. I solo'd him easily at 68 with 8.5k / 1.7k ac. (viction and self buffs only)
Also drops Bolts of Tallon used in research.
Copy and paste this to the bottom of your Sebilis_1 map for his location.

I solo this guy as a 65 ranger. Just use root wisely and you can be fine. having a weapon to slow him once engaged is a plus.

With the price off Tolan's Bracer so high, I decided to try the camp it strategy suggested by others.
My friend, a 65 wizard and I, a 58 Ranger, attempted it. I figured we could handle it, but it turns out I was wrong.
The Froglok Knights all see through invisibility! So getting back to Brogg's room was a real challenge. Fortunately, a group had cleared the path nearly to the room everyone calls Disco 1. From there, we killed all the Frogs in the Library, killed the shaman in the hall behind the invisible door, then ran back to Brogg's room.
Of course the Place Holder was up. We killed the Bug in the water and the PH. And then the two Frogs on either side. And then we waited.
When Brogg finally popped, we had a wanderer pop in through the door (argh!) And Brogg hits hard and has a lot of HPs
And Brogg does summon! That is why I died and my wizzie friend had to gate. Fortunately, A guildie Paladin of his helped us do the CR and rezzed me. (Thank you Choka!)
A small group of 60ish might do it, but you'll need a luller or mezzer and healer.

A sound group is really all thats necessary. We did it with 5 people in a mid-high 50s group and we didnt have a mezzer or a true tank. Group consisted of a 55 ranja, 58 monk, 54 rogue, 57 shammy (me) and a 54 clerc. The trick is to make your way methodically thru the dungeon using lull pulls to pull 1 or 2 at a time. Adds are handled by root parking the melee type off to the side or a caster type out of eyesight and having the group work on a single mob at a time. Slows definately helped not having a tank but with a monk, ranger and rogue beating on it, we had pretty decent DPS and they went down in 30-45 seconds a piece. As a 57 shammy, I hardly ever found any of my slows being resisted.
Our camp was in the library on the right side and monk pulled from the disco/laboratory/torture area (Brogg's spawn)/and 2 back rooms. Even with the zone revamp which supposedly nerfed the gem drop rates, in about an hour and a half each of the 5 of us came out with about 300PP which isnt half bad for our levels.

Kill all the mobs outside of his room first. Next have the wizzy hit him with a debuff or something to get agro but not summoned. At 65 he will not get adds on the pull. At that point snare him when he get to the wizzy. then have the wizzard start dropping his dd's on him. Once he summons the wizzard kite him around with you beating on him. he should sommon every 8 or 10 sec. he should be dead in under 60 sec.
It works. I have a 65 necro and do this all the time. 55 ranger alt and will not pay the 25k for the bracer:)

HE does not summon, just cxamped him with 62 enc with dc'd pet. Goes down easy, rare spawn rarer drop. GL in getting it. But nice aaxp there.

HE DOES SUMMON! Just took him down with my bard and he does indeed summon. Made him a pet and when that broke he summoned me.

Okay.. I've got a group of RL friends... 54 rng, 52shm, 52monk, 55war, 54bard, 58dru... The bard helps a ton in breaking spawns and crowd control (we've survived numerous 6-7 mob trains cuz our bard knew what he was doing)... Anyway, I have no doubt we could rock this guy, but I don't know how often he spawns. Is it totally random? Also, how often does the bracer drop?
My pally is really pleased with the shield! the 50hp really help me when I get aggro! just my

For all you rangers talking about soloing him to get his bracer, just get in a group. If you are the only ranger in the group, its yours. Usually everything but some places is NBG. Only exception I can think of is velks, solb, and guk.
NBG works out so well. Personally I never have had a problem giving someone an item only they can use. For those of you who do, eventually you will end up camping something only your class can use.

yeah there's no way Verant would put the cracked darkwood shield on this mob I mean seriously wouldn't you be mad if you were camping this guy and the shield dropped instead of the bracer, the Clay Guardian Shield is decent so not so bad for a drop speaking from a Ranger's prospective that is :)

This tolan's bracer is really nice due to the summon arrows effect. I was wondering if anyone know how rare he is, how often he drops the bracer, and if a lvl 51 ranger could get a group to go after this guy. I know what you are thinking... just buy the bracer it's only 4 k. well i have been in g fay for about a month and haven't found one yet. Any info would be apreciated

EC has like 4 people auctioning in the tunnel, while in gfay, close to 100 if not more, all you see is /auction spam...well, thats how it is on Xev, and they sell about 6-7k
But of course, now with channels, everyone just /join auction and dont hafta sit in the zone all day...

You would be so dead.... beyond dead. You can't heal the warrior fast enough for him to stop doubling him for 350s easy.
Ok, I have never been to Seb (got my key, but still a bit low) so this is all speculation. I think that if you could get a slow on him he'd be pretty easy, at lvl 42 as a chanter, I have a nice 50pct slow that works very well. I'd say add a chanter to that group and you'd be fine. With haste on the war and slow on the mob and mez for adds, he'd be cake. But like I said, i haven't been here before, this is just my experiences from places like Kael and such where mobs do double for a lot and even rampage sometimes. Good luck! ^_^

Why do people freak out when they find out your not even 48th lvl in this place? I go there all the time and I do just fine everything I have fought which has been the majority of this place has not resisted my snares much and I can keep aggro off me so I am not a mana sink. Anyway I can also wail away on things pretty dang well also.

lower lvl melees (and peeps in general) just seem to draw more aggro on them-selves. guess its VI's way of rewarding the lower lvl curious folks with an all expense paid, express trip to yer bind spot (so u can get more food and water for those tanks and casters who always seem to forget to buy their own)

LOL, what a lame coment ! so will you even if you're in your 50s :) BTW when you're "too low lvl" to get in a zone but you do go there anyway, you tend to be more cautious that guys who think they own the place just because it's reads on the web 50+ zone and they're 51 ! I crossed DLs as a ranger when i was in my 30 and i've never had any pb.

Try making that Thurg gate potion. Has saved me from more than a few naked runs across Norrath

It's not a hard area to do. The hardest part is breaking the spawn. When you first see the entrance to the crypt, you see some scarabs, but when you try to pull them, you get 5 mobs total. With an enchanter it is very easy to enter though. Lots of good drops come from the disco. To enter it though I would suggest:
2 tanks-1 of them must be 55+
1 snarer-51+
1 evac(sometimes it is needed)51+
1 enchanter-54+(they need to be able to mez all of the mobs in there, there are some illis wizards/knights that are 53)
1 cleric-51+
There are lots of variations that can work here. If you have a druid, that takes care of snare and evac, so keep that in mind. Also, it doesn't require much to pull, but I suggest that the puller have feign. When they bring the mobs, sometimes the chanter can't mez all of them at once and unless the puller has 3k+ hps, they will most likely get killed on the big pulls.

The 54 war was kinda noobish, wearin a lot of crusty, and usin either a wurmy and gorgan club, or the club and a ssoy...and didnt use his taunt button...
but anyways, wasnt to bad to get into the room, chanter had minimal resists. Then we got a 60 shaman and moved back by disco2.
From here on out everything was a breeze, no one came close to death, and we would have as many as 5 or 6 mobs at once on us...only saw this guy twice, dropped shield twice..got some nice gems tho, wasnt to hard with the shammy, he helped a lot..

The shield he dropd is the Clay Guardian Shield, AC 25, HP +50
