Dec. 23 2011 on Fippy progression server. Took about 10 snares before one stuck, even after Glamour of Tunare. Then just kited him around with 4 dots. Took about 12 minutes, good thing I had KEI, otherwise no way I could do this at 57. Had 3% mana left at the end.

Very rare spawn. After killing enough hounds to collect 30-40 furs over the last month this was the first time I saw him. Conned red to me, obviously.

How do you get this guy to spawn? Drops some nice spells, but I have yet to see this guy.

Zoned into WW today to hunt up some fur and saw him on track for the first time ever. After taking an unexpected pounding, the 6th ensnare luckily landed and I was able to kite him at that point.
He dropped Burnout IV (or whatever number the level 55 spell is) today as well, along with the fur and Call of Fire. I notice Burnout isn't listed as a possible spell drop at the time of this post, but it does drop.

Anyone know how to spawn this Dog? I've been hunting there for some time and have never seen him. I need Occlusion of Sound but I don't wanna go to POG and ruin my faction with 2 cities.
can this guy be feared? as in the ranger spell, panic animal? i'm wondering if i could fear kite it.

NO classes fear spells work and ANY mob over lvl 55 (certainly not our lvl 22 fear animal spell on a lvl 61 named mob) to the best of my knowledge

1. Found it roaming towards the western stretch of valley between the ToV canyon and DN canyon.
2. Very magic resistant. Even with a magic resist debuff, I couldn't land snare at all. Rarely resisted magic-based dots though.
3. Tagged as Animal (obviously).
4. Doesn't see invis.
5. Moves just about as fast as SoW. Faster than Run3.
6. Doesn't summon.
7. Max Hit (I've seen): 237, doubles
8. RAMPAGES! ...quite often too.
9. ENRAGES at end.
10. Has a ton of HPs, in the 30-40K+ range.
11. Pelt is uncommon drop.

Killed Icehackles today with my 60 druid. This guy dropped the Song: Occlusion of Sound and Spell: Nature Walker's Behest for me. Snared him without much difficulty with Glamour of Tunare. Was a long, easy kite with KEI.

He conned even to me at 61. Did not summon, does not cast, but did flurry on my DC bronto pet a few times, and thus me as well. The flurrying foolishness stops if you keep aggro off pet and keep him moving.
He dropped nothing but good exp. If you can do Tantor, you do him without any trouble.

Just killed this guy a bit ago. It doesn't summon. After debuffing with Glamor of Tunare it snared easilly and all my magic based DOTs stuck with no resists. Had no trouble getting a smouldering disjunction on it either and fire nukes hit for max damage. No drops but very nice XP. It also conned yellow to me at 60.

Solo'd this guy a few days back, maxed on me for mid 200's couldnt snare/root and had a decent amount of HP. Runs just under SoE speed and I wouldnt try soloing him unless you have a focus for fast dot casting (ie. Circlet of the Falinkain). Amusing kite, lasted 20mins with no KEI and dropped nothing, bout a blue aa anyhow.

nope, too high for charm, at least chanter charm maxes at 58(i think)
Dire charm cap is 49, best chanty charm is 58 or less(not sure exactly).

dire charm is lvl 46 cap, enchanter charm is lvl 58 with dictate (kunark era) but lvl 64 (pop era) -- he might be charmable, if hes not tag'd immune

Just an FYI, he is not lvl 55 cons yellow to a 60 as stated above, and double attacks for 238.
