This may have been changed for some time, but it all looked new to me. Prices are max ally faction and CHA 167, prices may be different depending on your individual faction / stats.

Do you need to say anything other that 'i call myself a druid' to Cobi?

no you need kindly- i did it with KINDLY (right after amiable)- and all you have to do is check before you do it by saying things like "what(or which i forget) leggings" and it will tell u if ur unworthy. But i believe bc i did it with kindly everyone can do with kindly ;)

LOL well.. Amiable me waves goodbye to 950pp worth of gems as the little tyke took them and my cap and told me I was unworthy.

I would suggest ALLY to be safe.

Ok. I get to Cobi and he says his standard "I am seeking those who callemselves Druid, are you that manling?" or something like that. Now what in the sam heckles do I say to continue the quest? I have said:

"I am a Druid" no response
"I am called a Druid" no response
"I am one they call a Druid" no response

What do I say to pasty skin here, to get him to give me the Thurgadin Velium armor quests?

All the erroded leather drops in Kael Drakkel. Mostly in the Arena, for which a raid is advised. The drops are from giants with a rank of Lieutenant or higher. Most of the gems needed are dropped by wyverns in Cobalt Scar and the Black Marbles needed for the very rare tunic drop in Velks, SG and DN. Hope this helps.

You have to have ally status w/ the folks of the city where you want to do the armor quests.

I am ally in Thurg and can get any class's armor quests simply by hailing the appropriate NPC.
