Anyone know what his spawn timer is bastard wouldn't take my arms (yes I had the right ones I checked 3 times) so I killed him to see if that might fix it.
One thing ...(person WAY down there, second post) only enchanters get the faction... I think

Maybe it is only me, but I had some difficulties to start the quest and couldnt find anything here, so to make life easier for all after me )
You say, 'Hail, Battlepriest Daragor'
Battlepriest Daragor says 'Greetings to you. I seek the service of devout knights who have distinguished themselves. Are you a paladin?'
You say, 'i am a paladin '
Battlepriest Daragor says 'A paladin of your kind has not made it this far for quite some time. Well, I wonder what it is you seek here. Do you seek heroic and chivalrous deeds to distinguish yourself from your brethren? Do you need accoutrements to aid you in your battles perhaps? You are in luck, knight, for I have both for you. Do you wish to partake of my quests?'
You say, 'i wish to partake of your quests '
Battlepriest Daragor says 'Excellent. By serving my cause, you in turn will further your own. I require certain components and if you bring them to me, I shall reward you for your honorable service. You may choose from among these items: a helm, a breastplate, armplates, bracers, gauntlets, greaves, and boots.'
You say, 'what is helm ' [or whatever interests you. Probably you can skip all and start the dialogue with this sentence. ]
Battlepriest Daragor says 'To create a piece of armor to protect your skull I will require three pieces of crushed coral as well as a corroded plate helmet.'
If your faction is not high enough, you get the following answer:
Battlepriest Daragor says 'You need to prove your dedication to our cause before I can discuss such matters with you.'
People are not really sure how high your faction must be for this quest. With amiably you wont get the quest, with warmly you do. Kindly is supposed to be enough.

If your after both Coldain and Draggon faction. hunt the bank area. Good dropps are rare and exp kinda slow. but you get good faction for both Coldain and Draggon.
For Quest armor you must be atleast warmly or higher. Just talk to the NPC if he tells you what you need for the quest, like what gems and such, your good to go. If your lesser than warmly he will tell you that you havent proven yourself enough. Blah Blah. But I whouldnt risk it. Kael armor doesnt always come easy. So best to wait til your Ally. IMHO

you donīt get faction with coldain killing in kael, you should try kill normal giants in GD

I am pretty sure you have to have very good faction with them to get the quest armor.

What does faction have to be to get quest? I have the gem's, was easy in veks. Just need to do a Kael raid and hope for the best.

hehe you can do the armor quest in the temple witch i think is the best and then this guy and then there is one more in kael that you can pick from so you realy can't do to much or you can change your fraction all around and you don't have to stick with this one guy and the temple one you need your epic and for the kael and this guy you don't need epic =)

If you get an enchanter or maby a bard to do the faction buff spell you could try it i guess

I just got Velious and realize that you have to chose one side or the other. Now I'm all up for killing a few of these Gnomes myself but before I do I would like to get a single piece of armor from this guy. At the moment I am dubious due to one bad faction hit gained from buffing someone at the wrong time.
Now the question. How do I get this guy to talk to me whithout ruining my faction in KD? And if I were to collect the items needed could I hand them in with dubious faction and recieve the item I so badly want?
Due to the fact I've only been playing EQ for a few short months I still don't know how faction will translate under these conditions. If somone could answer either question it would be greatly appreciated!
