I took one of these out a week ago (easy as cake, even after I got hit by a couple 300 DD from afar) and they now drop Mercenary Assignments NO DROP. Any thoughts?

He starts off inside the tunnel to SS and wanders out and walks... somewhere.. ive run into him recently while farming raptor pelts.

I also got a no drop card. Think it could be tied to the PoM? Also, I've seen several different Mercenaries species, so maybe there are a few different drops. Oh well, nothing like exploring and finding the answers.

This guy has a lot of HP but hits like a large rat.

Hmmm, lots of life but hits like a @#%^. Could these guys be used to max the offence and defense of casters and hybrids who don't get into the fights and melee at higher lvls? Also to practice skills, like monks who felt screwed because they started one before they released Kunark with all the nice blunt weapons for monks.

I looted a magic, nodrop, card (queen in picture) with name Mercenary Assignments. Any idea where this is used ?

I got jumped by this and a raptor one day at level 40 on a run back from Skyshrine. I ran being the smart rogue I am and only the raptor kept up with me. I found some level 50+ iksar who killed the raptor for me and I ran back to see where the Mercenary went. I found him and he came after me. conned even to me, had no weapons, and hit for a max of 4 damage. It took a while for me to get him down but with just half life I ended the battle with 2 bubble of life remaining. Tok about 8 minutes for me to kill him. God I wish I knew his spawn point...talk about easy exp.

I found him a little ways out from SkyShrine, he attacked me and I dropped
him pretty easily, he was in necro form at the time.

i think he stops moving in the phenocrist caves i heard him cast several times while in there also heard the tierdal merc casting too

I had him on track when i went to get my fang from the dragon ring near wuoshi.. also had him on track another time while wandering the dentral to northern half of zone , so my guess is he wanders quite a bit... Also note; Both times he showed up on tracking as blue.. (at 52)

While sitting in front of the cave to Skyshrine...waiting on a group member, I went afk for coffee. Just a few mins (although I had been waiting a while before)...I came back to find this idiot attacking me. So, I killed him :)
I received positive skyshrine faction and it was no effort at all.
