hehe i officially soloed him as a 66magician (400AA), i couldnot land my malosinia but i had only partial resists on spells (bolt of jerikor), so i kept mana and AA to finish him and let pet do his work (pet is my 66ish air pet, focused and full buffed) took me about 10minutes to kill him, i used servant of ro, frenzied burnout and host of the elements AA's to finish him for the last 8% when he decided to run, killed him before he get to chetaris...
was not so hard, exp good (he is red to me) and loot still amazing hehe i got my Cowl of mortality for lil war =)pp

Just killed zlandicar on BB, 3.5 days (actually 92 hours) after seeing a wizzy nuke the heck out of him previously, I can confirm that he respawns 3.5 days after he is killed. There is one hiccup to this tho, to prevent campers from getting him every time, during the 3.5 days, he will NOT spawn, after that he MIGHT spawn due to a random time added. Bacially it's this.
Zlandicar killed...timer started upon looted corpse.
Zlandicar will NOT spawn for the next 84 hours.
84 hour timer ends, random timer begins, zlandicar may spawn at anytime.
Good idea by SoE, if it was set only to every 84 hours campers would have him every time and I would never get my ST key and CoM. But for those that say it's a week timer, it could have taken another 4 days for the random timer to expire. I know for a fact that it was 92 hours between when the wizzy killed him and when I killed him next.
Edit: Next kill was 10 days later. It is possible that he spawned during that time and I missed him tho.

I just tryd soloing this guy ward did not land once on him. How did you get it to land? At about 4% health he started to run...tryed hitting him with my clicky snare neck and didnt land..so I chased him down and got killed by like 10 rat adds..when I get killed Zlandi was at 0% =/

Zlandicar soloed. 70 ranger 649 AA. Anguish, Tacvi and DoN gear. It wasn't hard at all... the fight took maybe 3-5 min.

Does anyone know if Frakadar's Talisman drops every time? I'd like it for the VP quest, but there are limits. Having to schlep to DN over and over on the off chance that Zlandi might be up, so that I can beg some people to come help me kill him, on the off chance that he MIGHT drop Frakadar's Talisman doesn't hold much appeal.

Well, I killed him earlier today. 70 Ranger, Shaman, Necro and Warrior was definitely overkill. He dropped the Frakadar Talisman, his own talisman and heart, 2 cowls of mortality, and several spells. A pretty good haul for a 10 minute fight.

Duo'ed with a 70 beast and 70 wizard. Way too easy..

Very easy guy, did with warrior, rogue, cleric and shammy. Cleric sicced pet and healed and cured, shammy and pet did dps along with rogue and warrior held aggro.
SUPER easy.
Shame it takes him 3 days to pop again.

Procs Often enough to give him a 40/45-ish Delay.
Procs: Easily resistable with 180+.
Takes about 12mins to kill with 150dps.

killed him rigth before OoW went life with warrior, shaman, necro and 2 druids - all barely with VT gear - shaman died instantly - casted slow right away to prevent warrior takign too much dmg (no cleric buffs), after that took us about 3 min to finish him up
duoed yesterday shammy and war just getting there sucks 100k hp 315 is max hit in the start he casted allot and got slow off couple of times BotN (new god slow) after malos etc just sick pet on him and let tank resisted all with not that uber resists 300,s

His AEs are Putrefy Flesh and Rotting Flesh. He also cast chanter spells on me, mostly root, and twice he cast Rapture on me. And, I was rampage for the fight, and hardest I got hit was 305.
Also, hes really MR. We didn't have a chanter or tash stick, and our shaman went through 60% of his mana trying to slow before giving up. Oh, he tried DR slow too and it didnt work.

When did they add RoS to his faction table. I have killed zcar about 25 times, frequently over the past 5-6 months and once after the VP revamp. None of those times did he give positive RoS.

Been doing Zlandicar since a little before GoD release with potions and the like. Caught him up about a week or two ago and smoked em without potions (hence the buffs that calimony won't click on) or even LC.

Is Zlan trackable from IZ when he is up?
I got him to 50% twoboxing a mage and a cleric (both 65 and in GoD gear), gave up when cleric ran out of mana. Pet as tank took up too much mana, and was too low DPS. I'll try again with a more efficient heal setup now that I know how much of a wuss he is, hitwise. He's just too hard to nuke, and with pet as main DPS, it's too slow.

Nothing but spawned trap mobs see invis (not even zlandicar) so you can just run down and space your running out. If you get trap aggro just run back to zone in and try again (or succor). Takes maybe 10mins from zone in to room before zlandicar. BTW zlandicar is slowable but don't count on it. His max is like 400 if that. Hits pretty fast and rampages alot. Took him down with 1 monk 1 cleric 1 druid. Monk is not EP geared (but is high end luclin). Had no problems what so ever. Zlandicar has a few AEs and fear. Zlandicar also runs at low Health so be rdy to burn him down if you are duoing or U get rat aggro.

aside from traps chitari courier also see's invis and is a walker in the tunnels. watch out for him. Also, cast lev on yourself, it doesn't avoid all of the traps but i know it avoids some of them. I can usualy lev/invis there with no problem. I haven't got a mob trap yet using lev just random dispells or malo's, if you can invis again fast enough and there are no mobs around when this happens, it's fairly easy to get there.

Can anyone offer some advise on the easiest way to get a duo/trio down to him , i know route just seems like a long fight in , and not having CC for the swarm traps could be a pain ,
Is this guy undead? I thought i read something about him being undead in a post.
This necklace has 15 M def on it ,and is free and easy for any noob to get. I'm only lvl 25 but I still use it and think that's pretty good for an item I got at lvls 2-4.

So what are like dragons super weak cause it says he devoured his ELDER kin... and you guys are talking about Trioing him and Duoing him and it says Raid honestly... Are ya'll suicidal or has SOE gone soft on Dragons which in my opinion should be super strong..

When velious first came out these were THE high end zones. Times have changed and unless they revamp the content like they have done with certain zones it is just one of the many mobs that are easily killed by a couple high end chars.

isnt so strong. i only healed 54 water pet once from AE damage. should be fine with 2k+ raid buffed even if you got dotted. didnt even get a cure when it hit on me, i just let it wear off on its own.

Me (65 shaman) and a 65 bard just duoed him. Our gear is nothing special we are both pre VT and non elementals. It did take us about 30 min to melee him to death as neither me or the bard could stick dots. He slows easily with a bard debuff, most resists I had was like 6 in a row on slow. WOW this was a fun fight.
I would have to agree with the people below that his HP are in that 60k to 80k range because it took more time to melee this guy to death than it takes to melee wuoshi to death to give a comparison, wuoshi took us about 9 minutes to take down with melee only and zland took about 30 minutes maybe more to melee to death ( we werent timing it exactly cause we expected to die )

Can someone give a relatively detailed description of how to get to this dragon from the zone in? I know the zone fairly well. I know about the closer rat cave with the large sliding storm doors, the second rat cave on the right wall deeper in the zone, and the building in the back of the zone with the Lava pit and the rat guards. Please throw me a bone and tell me where he is.

I don't know much about tracking.. Can anyone help me on this? Is Zlandicar trackable from zone in? Or at least at the beginning of rat ramp? I heard Ranger tracking is better than druid tracking. If anyone could verify if a ranger was able to track Zlandicar from zone in, I would appreciate it.

No, he's not trackable from zone in. You have to enter the caverns with the rat people to be able to track him. And even then it's bugged and not always working. Sometimes you don't have him on track till you've reached the waterfall right before his lair.

Zland, IMO - Trakanon can really get annoying with all the Banishing.

None of the AEs hit any of us the entire fight, Shaman Malosed and got slow off on the first try, then started stacking poison based DoTs, most landed if I remember. Bard Obviously played resist songs, I went Defensive as soon as he was pulled. Entire Fight took about 9-11 minutes. Cleric ended up with 30m. He got low on mana when Zland was at about 20% so the Shaman kept doing Tnargs/Kragg's Mending and then using Canni5 til the cleric was good on mana. Coughed up Talisman, Z Heart, Massive Dragonclaw Shard, and a few spells.

once you hit 65, zland is in no way a raid encounter. hes still terribly hard to slow without tash + malo so i didnt bother slowing him, just had chanter eat rampage with self rune spell. other than that, cleric ended up with about 50% mana and i forget what he dropped but it was most likely junk as like the last few times ive killed him; it occured to me the drop rate on his good stuff was probably lowered like many other pre-PoP "raid mobs."
i didnt time the fight but it was most likely well over 30 mins bordering on one hour.

once you hit 65, zland is in no way a raid encounter. hes still terribly hard to slow without tash + malo so i didnt bother slowing him, just had chanter eat rampage with self rune spell. other than that, cleric ended up with about 50% mana and i forget what he dropped but it was most likely junk as like the last few times ive killed him; it occured to me the drop rate on his good stuff was probably lowered like many other pre-PoP "raid mobs."
i didnt time the fight but it was most likely well over 30 mins bordering on one hour.

there are in fact guilds out there that find Zcar a good mob to help them progress. The fact that you can 3 box him or kill him with one group doesn't change the fact that many guild can benefit from raiding him.

I belive all Dragons are on a Week timer. so this 1 should be too =) he's a Dragon Anit he? lol

More useful info,
Dragon has about 64k hps if I remember right, he isnt Dragonbaneable. Most of the tactics above are fine, real issue is dealing with his Disease based AOE. With Shaman resist, maybe bard song should be easily able to get your raid or group depending on level and abilities to resist his AOE with 300 DR. Its cureable, Radiant cure, pretty sure Paladins Crusaders Touch works on it also. Probably even counter disease though that might take several casts to remedy it.
Zlandi hits for 600s if I remember right, his melee dps is very containable, usually most people die from DOT if they dont resist it. So break up your healers if you try him with more than one group. A group of 65s could easily kill Zlandi. 3 groups of 55+ could kill him if they had the right people, 3 clerics, 2 bards, and good damage, solid Main tank. Easily the easiest of the First Brood dragons, also drops the only droppable key to Sleepers.

Does anyone know about the time he pops? and please be honest.. I have read several posts on his spawn time and I get all different answers.. anyone please help?
