Here is how you get the Gnomish Pirate Cloak.
1. Goto the Igloos then turn West/Southwest and find the gnomish pirate.
2. Kill the Gnomish Pirate
3. Swear once under your breath because he did not have the cloak
4. Set a timer for 8 minutes
5. Sit at +4304 + 1109 facing southwest
6. go make a sandwhich
7. when you timer goes off, put down the sandwhich and sit down at your computer
8. Kill the gnomish pirate that just spawned and is walking away from you.
9. Reapeat Steps 6-9 as nescisary
Here are some things i noticed about this camp
1, it was hard for me to hurt faction, i killed well over 30 of them and weant from Amiable to Apprehensive.
The little guys have less then 1252 HP's as a level 50 cleric i was killing them with 2 Retributions and 1 Sound of force. They hit me for about 20 on average.
The Drops are rare, i killed well over 30 of then got one cap, one cape and no rapiers.
The people earlier in the post that were saying how tough these mobs are, were wrong. They are no more difficult then any mob the same level.
There are also 2 gnomish pirates that spawn at the igloos, unless you have a harmony spell they are a pain in the arse to pull, you will get adds.
Good Luck

I play on the Tribunal server & am a 39th Pally. An update on this MOB:
1. This Pirate was not on the island the barge from North Ro visits.
2. They do con blue to me & have around 1250HP's.
3. They are easy to solo for my class & level.
4. The safest place I found was down the hill between the igloos & the water. There is one that spawns every 20 minutes. Managed to accidently pull a Gnomish Pirate & a Pirate Sentry & with the help of root & LOH, won.
5. Killed 7 of these and zero cloaks. So the "common" drop should be redefined I think.
6. The horror stories regarding these MOBs' killing multiple Lvl 50+'s are incorrect. I believe that players are referring to the many named pirates in Iceclad and of course old Frankel himself in North Ro.

Don't touch these suckers. An aquaintance of mine was waiting for the Velious boat and figured what the hey. He is a 55 Erudite Necro and got his ass handed to him. He managed to FD, but had to camp becuase he had dots on him. They seemed to have around 24k HPs

Bah the lil gnome in nro can kill an infinate amount of the pirates in iceclad, so dont think they're all like that. The ones in iceclad are barely tougher than the kitties. I soloed em at lvl 35 with my monk (so what if he has trance stick, KD, and fungi, i only lost like 2 bubs of health). I liked the exp, faction hit wasn't bad at all, and i got a cape, not quite hero cloak, but made a nearby non twink EXTREMELY happy.

Don't even try these little guys. One conned BLUE to me (31 Monk) and hit for almost 200!! They are also obviously pretty smart because he didn't buy my feign (FD worked perfectly but he still attacked). I lost a bub from this mofo!

These little dudes backstab for alot but dont have all that many HPS and a level 34 nec can handle them pretty well (didnt die at all).

You will take faction hits from the pirate gnomes, but you can kill a lot of them and never drop from aimibly. I've killed about 20+ and never went below aimibly with them. They still sell to me and I just get one that kind of wonders from the igloos to kill
