Eldrig the Old  

So I have my bard parked at the +1780, -3840 loc and use my zerker to collect EVERYTHING roaming around the lava flow by the wizy port for like 2 days tryn to get a PH kill and respawn with no luck at all. Later I read about a second LOC +581, -4001. i guess this whole time ive been killing all the PH's have been spawning here. well when i learned of this loc i loaded the wifes toon and camped here there. 1 round of clearing i had a hit on her and after 5 more ph's i got this chump....did i mention i hate this bard epic (

This part of the epic really sucks... I've been doing this PH spot (+1780, -3840) now for couple of days, so far about 20PH's and no Eldrig. Worst part is hunting down the PH holder. I can't imagine trying to do this under lvl 65 and by yourself.. lol Sigh, is every epic this tedious?

PH or this guy spawn precisely at the coordinates +1770.97, -3844.78.

respawn time is precisely 13 minutes, 8 seconds (give or take a second)

Hope you're ready for a long camp. I've had 12 ph's in a row so far, after I finally managed to kill the ph near the bottom left of the map. Was killing 40-60 mobs at a time with my bard sitting at these coordinates for about 2 hours before one finally spawned here. Don't let one get away, or you have to start over.

Fusionx on Saryrn server is the man. Just saying.

He slaughtered the zone on his necro while I waited for a PH to pop on my head. Wouldn't even take my money. This just goes to show there are still decent people playing this game.

btw, I'm on my second pop. Hopefully the 25% rare spawn increase for Memorial Day weekend will favor me and he'll spawn soon.

Got really lucky...found the PH randomly within about an hour(green chromodrac at lvl 57). It highsun-ed to the old loc, 500, -4000. Three spawns and Eldrig popped, dropped the guts.

Solod on a 57 Bard, not recommended though :)

Hi, just camping for my baby bard here, so thought i would post my experience.

Test Server

spawn time 13 min:09 sec :646 ms.

location pos 1775.0, neg 3874.43, neg 162.69

I was facing 2 clicks north of west which is the direction the PH will go,( if you forget to sit like i did once and they dont aggro)

place holders were...

a chromadrac
a bottomless gnawer
a wurm
a chromadrac
a wyvern
a mature wurm
(oh boi looks like i not going to get quick spawn, heh)
a wyvern

fixxing to have to call it, hope i can find the ph again

oh did use the highsun method to find ph, which was just east of the southern most lava pool

i found the highsun thing really annoying to do so i found a spot where mobs nvr stop... -2320, 180 i took my shaman and his t5 merc and pulled anything i could see from on top of the little hill and parked mage at spawn point 1750, -3845 and 2 hours pass and one spawned on top of his head.... and it was fun to keep killing...hope this helps some

I found my ph just west of the large lava lake. It was "a chromadrake" and conned light blue to my 60 bard.

Just did this with brother for his new Bard was easy. Parked my Enc at(+560, -4010) spawn point . Mage Parked at the (+1750,-3840) spawn point. Bard went off an started Gateing all the mobs back home started in center toward the area in middle of straight out from Overthere Zone line an worked out from there believe the bone yard by wiz port in next. After about 25 min's the Mage at (+1750,-3840)spot had one land on her head. well after a few more mins bard took a break mage had 3 pops 13 min's apart an then nothing (maybe one got away not sure), Bard took off to Gate more mobs. This time one landed on my Enc head at the (+560,-4010) spot I set a timer for 12mins 35 sec's an started watchen TV watchen screen more closely when it was time each time the mob spawned on me head at 13 min apart took about 10 or 11 spawns to get him me brother's bard got his piece.

I did make sure to sit my enc on the ground after each pop. so that the next mob popped it would argo me (but thats just common sense). When timer went off i would look toward screen for pop, Every time a mob spawned it attacked my enc an my pet in turn murdered it. Then i sat Enc back down an reset timer an went back to the Tv . Both spawn points seem to work we had luck with the one at (+560,-4010) but i would say to park a friend at both to be sure.

Thie does work if you dont like how long it takes "its a epic get over it" LOL

Cant seem to find any ph at all, been standing at both spots for 2 hours and no ph. then once I can track from spots is far out into zone, so no mob is wandering along the wall either way..

Anyone got any idea on what I should do?

I found the north spawn point PH wandering westward along the north zone wall.

Highsunned his PH back to (+1750, -3840). Went as far from the spawn as possible and started back highsunning everything in my way. Far west wall and just a bit south was where the mob was walking. Must have been up a long time.

Spawned him just now at the new spot. Had seomeone going around killing stuff then his PH spawned at the spot. got lucky. camped it a few times and then he spawned i died he got killed and it rotted. so crapy, now still camping spawn sigh.

his old spot will spawn him also.

Just wanted to say I can confirm the -1750, +3850 loc for the PH of this mob. I ran for hours highsunning everything...finally WAAAY in the SW'sh area of the zone, i highsunned a sky ash drake.

Just wanted to add that your spotter (or your alt on another monitor) has to be very quick to catch it...as soon as it gates back to it's original spawn point, it immediately takes off towards the west. If i blinked longer than a second I would have missed it on my alt's screen watching the PH spawn point. So make sure you check the spawn point *right* after highsunning every mob you do or else you can miss it.

Woot! Just got my gut!

I started trying to find Eldrig at level 51. Simply kited anything I could on the eastern side of the zone near his 2 spawn points. Didn't work although I did learn alot about charm kiting.

Level 56 now with highsun. Read all the posts on every board. Had 2 spotters back at Eldrig's spawnpoints and headed to the WEST wall on the other side of the zone (north of the druid port in). Highsunned anything from the mob list that I saw / tracked. Didn't take but maybe 10 mobs before a skycinder drake started hitting my spotter at Eldrig's "old" spawnpoint (p500, n4000). All 3 of us converged on that spot and started camping it.

Every 13 minutes a new mob spawned. On the 6th spawn, we got Eldrig. The warrior took the hits so I can't offer advice on how to solo him with the bard. But I can confirm that he still will spawn at his "old" spawn point. So just do whatever it takes to get either of his spawnpoints spawning again.

I can confirm +1750, -3840 and all the above info was correct. I put another toon at the old loc near entrance tho just cause i was paranoid heh. Best of all tho after first high sun next spawn was Eldrig the Old himself. Oh btw don't just stay near boneyard area tried there over period of 3 days like 1h 2hrs at a time and no luck. This last attempt i did boneyard then just roamed off like far north from overthere entrance and the pher was a chromadrac roaming out in the middle of no where.

Hope the confirmation helps anyone who's had crappy spawns once ya find his phers.

Has the corpse for this mob always rotted 7 minutes after it died even with the bit on him? seems like used to be and still is for really good important drops you got 30 mins . Wait all night and log alt in to get bit and what its rotted and now i have to wait for another 40 spauns lol, isnt that a b----- :) still ya gotta love a game thats hard to hate .

Just camped this gentleman for 6+ hrs.... man that was way to long. Here is the list of PHs that I kept track of...

Skycinder Drake
Bottomless Gnawer
Mature Wurm
Wurm
Chromadrac
Wyvern

That was all I saw, but I'm sure it cycles through most of the list in the zone... hope this helps!!!

Confirming the old spawn point at pos500neg4000 (or thereabouts). Time is 13 minutes.

Aye ive been having the same problem. Been doing the highsun technique, have a spotter at +1750, -3840. Been doing the circle around the little lava pit and back to spawn point hitting every mob in sight and still no ph/Eldrig. Please help!! =D

Is this New spawn point for real? i spent 24 hours , LITERLY at the spawn point , killing ph's over and over never got him to spawn. EVER. So is there really a new spawn point or what ? or does he still spawn at old spawn point? 500, -4000 ? Pls i need some imput this very annoying.

I have killed now 14 PH's at loc +1700 -3800 and still no Eldrig. anyone know if spawn point has changed recently or if its bugged or if im just really unlucky?

New Spawnpoint is ~ +1750, -3840 just a few meters north of the old one. They changed it since one of the last patches.

Finally got the PH, not sure if it was me, or the people pulling all the mobs to do cleric epic but finally got the cycle.
5 hours later nothing but PH's.
I did get 2 cleric pearls 1 rotted they were too late 1 they looted. i have killed over 100 mobs and havent found the ph tonight and highsun hasnt helped me at all.. but to cause a train so big i could barely kill it at all with my paladin lol

Its kinda lame to put the name/lvl/class of every alt u have, its even worse when they are all lvl 20's , but its really gay when one of them is Kremov Sumyungai , come on man im sure u can do better. These are for info not showing how lame ye are.
