Use levitation to avoid the nasty throwback, you will just get hit with the stun. Fairly straight forward fight just takes a long time because of the stun. Dropped chest and aug.
Impossible to miss this guy... he is HUGE! :)
He spawned for us from both the static (near river) and wandering phs.

fight was not bad.. just long cause of stun. did not have to heal too much either. there are 3 snakes around king of the hill that are phers. one is half way down hill and 2 are at bottom of hill snaking around..... he spawned at the pher snake that is halfway down hill for me like 5 times other spots only 2. from the pher at halfway down hill i set up my box group right there at the tree next to it... have LEV on or will just get thrown into other mobs/prowlers. i had him face the tree when i pulled him. he spawns close to tree so it was easy. just make sure no prowlers are around when u pull him.....
the stun is what makes it a long fight for me atleast. but overall it was easy... boxed cleric bst and wiz all 95 with 4-6kaa's 2 healer mercis and tank mercis with no problems... just kept slow up and meleed when ever i wasnted stunned.

This sucker will bounce you around like a monkey on a string. Kill the PH for Bonecruncher, the grendlaen, and then kill the gator in the creek. Then plant your tank on his mount at -2800, +1788, -6 with their back against that huge log. He'll stay put. The first time I tried to kill him, I pullde him relatively close to where he spawns, and he AOed me right int 4 mobs,,, then 5 mobs.. then 6 mobs. Either externsively clear all around him....or take him to that spot I mentioned. It's a lot easier.
Oh yeah, another piece of advice/tactic. He pasted my warrior somewhere around 40 -45 percent. I loaded up a pet spell and let pet tank it. With two mercs healing the necro pet, a wiz merc and the incredible powerful (cough) chanter nuke, dots..... I killed him. In fact, I think pet tanking is a hella lot easier.
Pet has EM 11 focus and I got max necro pet class AA's. Pet would drop to 40 sometimes, but ... I was kind of amazed he could tanks a t3 namer, period. .

Placeholders are "a giant binaesa"- snake model. Location -2984, +1501, +3 is correct area.

Just killed King Rex last night.
He does have an AE (was stun and knockback) which I believe was "Thunderous Roar". The closest match I find is - Thunderous Roar, though I thought Rex's stun was only 3 seconds but could be wrong on that.
He was pretty easy for a Tier 3 named, just a longer fight if you don't have a lot of DPS with you. Just keep backs to a wall to counteract the knockback.
