As of 9/16/03 Bilbus Briar is no longer lvl 30. He now cons red to a 37 Ranger, cannot be Harmonied, hits for upwards of 132 and does agro the surrounding guards (though not Brother Nallin, oddly enough). Whether or not he is a place holder for Watchman Drixlin (sp?) remains to be seen, as I have been unable to kill him to see.

Edit: Came back later and indeed Drixlin was in Bilbus' spot. Was at 9pm gametime and he has some text which says he will disappear when the dial reads 8 (or somesuch thing) which I take to mean he despawns at 8am gametime.
Also, despite what RaeinOfTorv says (a couple of posts down from here) Dexlin is indeed a gnome and Capt. Linarius was at the top of the tower when Dexlin was in Bilbus' location.

An excellent place to buy food and water if you're hunting in North or South Karana.

Has anyone killed him before? I need ideas I want a pair of watchmen boots. If someone has some ideas

I'm still trying to figure out what faction he's on... *sigh* but I'm starting to toy with the idea of just killing him to find out. Problem is killing him without aggroing all the guards around him - probably have to try a similar tactic to that used for the named Freeport Militia guy pallies need to kill for some big quest - someone aggroes the guards, pulls them to SK zone. In the meantime I aggro Bilbis, pull him up the coast and smack him down.
Problem is I killed SOMETHING in SK which dropped my faction with him to the point where he'll no longer sell to me. I'm not sure if killing him will help the faction but it should at least answer the question for me.

Hes place holder for theGnomish watchman that gives the box for the quest for the watchman boots, anyone on the nameless who can kill him and mind helping me do the quest? shoot me a tell

Not totally true. The guard isn't gnomish and Briar doesn't have to die in order for the guard to appear. The guard randomly spawns at night depending on wether or not the captain is on the top of the tower or at the base (he spawns more often when the captain is at the bottom, I believe). I have only seen him at night and only twice.

...but I'd think he'd be tied to either Karana Resident or any of the Qeynos factions. Just a thought.
