very easy to kill,
in the waters at the rivervale docks
give the Large Ruby to the rogue guild in the center of town
I think that it cant be given unless u r a rogue or have a large faction with the guild

this trout is still here as of 2009, he is about the size of a pea maybe 10 times smaller than the pirhanna, theres a small quest bag on river floor, he spawns next to that, very tiny like those buubly trout that look like bubble in water, my core rules thief lev 5 pwned him and had a good fight agaisnt the pirhanna
While I was swimming to beat Tarzan (I swim 125), chomper attacked me, so i killed it and got the ruby.

Chomper is a pinkish trout. Attacks anyone, used in rogue quest. He drops a ruby (Lore) that u give to someone in the rogue guild. Chopper is a random spawn.
I'm never lost, just misplaced.

I have killed the chomper twice, but you can only carry one ruby, oh well. I am sure he is a rare spawn, only seem him twice and ive done alot of swimming. give the piranah teeth to the merchant and he will pay 1g 6 silver each. You can also kill the trout and sell them for 2s each. While waiting for mr Chomper

right after i dinged i jumped in the water and started killing trout then chomper showed up bite me once and then he was gone. I figured he would repawn when i killed more but he never came back i killed til i was halfway into level 5 but no chomper. What the heck?!

i killed chomper at lvl 1 i was not buffed or twinked he was to easy i've done both hollow skull wuest and the comper one he does have a tast for blood ouch

I think the way to make him spwan is buy killing the trout's and pirahna's. someone told me that will make him spawn. i'm still tryin to make him spawn too though so i'm not sure if it will work.

How do you get him to spawn or is he a rare spawn??????

Somtimes npc's won't spawn till you trigger them by starting the quest . i would suggest you try going back to Toelina Snuckery, Hail him and start the quest. Someone may be hunting near where he spawns and is killing him before you get there when you start the quest . I hope this help you complete the quest.

The large ruby you get from Chomper, is this the rudy that can be used in the hollow skull quest as well?

As noted in the description, this fish is in the pond in Rivervale itself, not in the Misty Thicket.
