Took this thing down with no prob on my 53 Necro today and i got a stupid eye that no one knows what is for he was DB just snared/feared/pet attack and DoTed and he went down in a bout 30-45 sec

I can only tell you he is tough....I ran into him at two different locations with two different Toons........I do not care if I ever see him again, but as much time as I spend there with each new Toon if mine, I am sure it is ineveitable....just hope that if and when you run across him, that you are in good health with lots of mana.....and if worse comes to worse....J-Boots or Sow is good to have on....lol.....This was not written to help...just to warn those that have not faced the wrath of this mighty little creature!

This guy almost killed my 35 druid. Hits pretty hard and stuns for a long time. Within a few seconds i was down to 28% HP and with no mana on, saw no other option to run. Little persistent guy though, but i reached zone line without getting stunned again.

Some higher level guy killed him and he also dropped the Gloves of Rallos Zek (hence the subject of this message). I believe these gloves are used in mage research, but don't flame me if I'm wrong here.

I was killing hg's minding my own business and he jumped on me. I ran. My husbands 45 lvl druid stepped in and died lol. He then pops back, roots it from a distance, dot's it and kills it. Nice bracer, got it in the bazaar for 200pp. We will see what happens.

This guy suprised me when I was playing with my enchanter. He started stunning me back to back and hitting me. Luckily I was charm killing a hill giant with a hill giant so when he was done my giant pet came over and took him out easy. Giants are immune to stuns so it was the perfect against him.

I was hunting In Rathe with my lvl 44 Wiz when I heard a shout go up 'Named Balsik at Med rock' I dashed over there just in time to see a lvl 52 drood choke on his last breath, dunno if he picked up aggro when he was low HP and mana? then a shaman took over from him and died in like 15secs again dunno if he joined in the fight in a poor state, as Petrifin starts walking off I click on him to see his con, DB to me and see he's also low HP, well I kinda felt a little guilty the other 2 guys dying but hey! <shrugs> you can bet if I'd joined in I would've been flammed for KSing. so one nuke later I get the exp and the Bracer, some guys get all the luck <sigh>.

Hi, pointers:
Petrifin is double hitting for 97 damage, and hits with like 25-30 delay... His stunns can sorta be resisted if you got good magic resist (I had 54), he stunned me once, and thanks god only once. I was all alone and he started hitting me, OUCH! started kiting (as a bard, 3x chants twisting in Selo's Chorus once in a while and Amplification), he stunns for quite a while, I would say 6-8 secs... I didnt have a healer or anything and wasnt buffed so 6 secs getting hit for that hard is very dealy. Avoid him if you're alone... and IF you consider kiting, stay FAR FAR from him, at the range limit, you dont want him to cast a stunn in.

Anyways, I got Granite Bracer :-) Was pretty happy! HEHEHE!! Finally upgrading serpentine bracer.

Was standing at entrance to HG valley talking to a friend when i see a basilisk approaching, no big deal, they are all over. WRONG, this thing starts whupping up on me with melee hits in the 90's and stonebreath, plus a nasty stun. I start running for the zone at half health when i realized i hadn't taken him down a half bubble. Well i never made it, called the closest guildy cleric for a rez, and added one more to my must kill list. Now that i know what this beast drops, i will defenitely look for him when killing giants for cash.

Was in a HG group and puller decided to try this guy. He hits hard and fast and his stun lasts for a minute (it seemed like it anyway, maybe not that long). He took a liking to me and LoH was the only reason I survived. He drops a granite bracer which is very nice, but expect to roll for it in a group.

Does anyone know what his spawn rate is? Does he havea ph? etc.

I saw him once near the bug tower. He was already killing someone, and I was too low at the time to consider trying to help.

A friend and I were taking a little bit of a break after we had a couple of adds when we were killing a hg and the thing aggroed us, since we are pimps we manged to beat the crap out of him and he dropped the bracer, really nice bracer btw. It's a grey plate color and i'm sure it sells for quite a bit.

What is this eye we keep talking about? Info please?

the range of stone breath is the same as melee range, so if he can still hit you, he can stun you=P

Anyone know what the range on Stonebreath is? Never tried to kite a basilisk, so I don't really know.

We killed this mob the other day and he dropped the Eye only, so I would assume that his rare is the bracer. He spawned after killing many HG's and Basilisk's. And yes, the stun hurts us casters =), but I (lvl 38 shammy, now 39) along with a 40 druid were able to take him by kiting, and a lvl 33 war nipping at his heals, unfortunately the other 2 died in the process and I finished him with under a bub of health left, so do be careful.

Super nasty mob to run into if your alone and under 40, he will stun you, and you'll never have a chance to run.
