I ran to paineel with my newly lvl 22 DE sk because it's quicker from the spires than to go all the way to nek =P .. I was running around in the newbie pit when I saw TWO of these.. BOTH con'd WHITE (lvl 22/even) to me.. I made pet attacked first one, zapped with HT .. let pet hold off the second as I zon'd since some how I got quad hit >.< mean sucky things.. and the one I did kill poofed.

I saw him once at level to on the hill to the right of the entrace ( facing away from the way yopu come in from paineel). I treid to get closer to get a better look, but at that time I did not know that he was KoS. So I got my ass kicked. I was level 2 at the time.

Okay, Here is what you do to get the pe to spawn, where? I dont know, he showed up in different places for me. First, go talk to Noclin, then summon a pet(if your a necro, makes the whole thing easier!) then go out and look for him. Its best to group with somebody that way you can find him faster.

A couple guys and I got him to pop a couple times just by killing wave after wave of skellies. I dont know if it was a coincidence or not, but the three of us cleared the area of skellies about 3 or 4 times and he popped twice in about an hour or so.
I dunno though... coulda been a coincidence.

I would like to add that this may be the case. I spent levels 1-5 in the Paineel newbie area one night and never saw him spawn until a higher level SK asked me for bone chips. I slaughtered all skellies in the area until I had about 2 stacks and he spawned near the first little hill on the left when you come into the newbie area from Paineel.

He is extremely rare, I spent 3 hours in Paineel just looking for the pet. I tried all the strategies here but haven't seen it once, I started looking when I hit level 4 and no luck, have made a pretty penny selling all the bone chips though. :)

Noclins Pet doesn't spawn on the hill with only 1 tree. Ratula

Noclins Pet is a lvl mob. He conned blue to my level 5. As for the spawn rate, it's hard to tell. I got the quest many times and could not get the pet to pop. I saw him at 6 P.M. game time and logged in when the sever only had approx. 600 people. Then just killed every skeleton I could see.

To answer the questions about spawning, Noclins pet spawns everytime you get the quest from Noclin. no more no less

Forgot to add that he can drop up to 5 gold piece and is soloed easily at L5 wthout a pet.

Noclins pet is 100% L4 I killed him 10 times, is even at 4 blue at 5, and his placeholders are decaying skels, he spawns together wth them, decaying skels spawn 3 at once, and he will spawn in place of one of them.

To answer ur question he spawns less than 5 minutes after u get the quest from Noclin. He spawns on that little hill to Noclin's Left with only one tree. BTW the weapon only Procs at level 10, and does Sicken, if ya didn't know already.

Does the weapon's ability work when you are lvl 4 and it does sicken that is lvl 10 or does it only start to work when you are lvl 10?

Btw, does anyone know when this thing starts to proc? i'm currently level 9 with my necro and i still get the "your will is not sufficient to command this weapon" gibberish...

It's not that rare. the first time i tried for one it took about 4 hours...after that i've seen 3 spawn in 5 minutes...no joke...of course i didn't need it those times, but i killed it anyway and made a few newbie necros very happy :)

Noclins pet is VERY rare. I spent two hours looking for it and I still haven't found him.

hmm, when i made my erudite necro and my brother and his friend made a sk and a cleric, we found noclin's pet a bunch of times, like 10 times in a hour. lol we would know cause we got our ass kicked by him alot at lvl 1. i dont know if someone triggered the spawn or anything tho. anyways, the point of my story is....unlike other people i didn't find him rare. and they lived happily ever after....
