Xicotl

I pulled the entire jacuzzi room and he popped up just as I was starting to AE nuke them down. I'd estimate from 2k to 4k hp, resists weren't anything spectacular it seemed. 7 min rot timer on his corpse.

You can tell which of the spa rooms he's in because it doesn't have a fake wall across from the door. It's totally solid, but the other room has a passageway. Just run along the walls to test it.

Wiped out the spa room about 3 times and this guy popped.

Got him to spawn for me tonight. Took about 6 hours. I stayed in the spawn room and killed the naked Dark Elf female guard over and over...took out about 40 placeholders before he spawned. Dropped him in under 1 minute solo with no buffs.

He still spawn in the spa room in Castle MM (after un-revamping)?

Hey all, I can confirm this for sure. I camped him just last night. His new spawn is in bottom middle part of the map of Lesser Faydark at the Dark Elf camp of the Tier'Dal.

I think we went through 3 or 4 sets of the Tier'Dal Elites before he finally came in. Once down he Dropped a "Glowing Sword Hilt" Spawn time from when we got there was about 1.5 to 2 hours.

About how long does it take to spawn him?

I have been camping this spot for 3 days and have yet to get Xicotl to spawn. Anyone know the rate on this guy?

I have been working on trying to figure out where the popular mistmoore mobs spawn and this is what I have so far:

The once 'undead' spire now only has one skeleton spawn, and is surrounded on a perimeter by various initiate/pledge familiars. In close on or by the pedestal you will find Enyti, a hemo enologist, an ass't librarian, a librarian, a fallen noble.. i believe that is it... i may have to repost if i see more.

Oh and the Black Dire mob can be found north and west of the undead spire. I've seen it up for quite some time being here (on track)

The orc camp at loc 250, 375, contains many other spawns: Maid Issis, a cloaked damphyre, an advisor, Butler Syncal, Princess Cherista, an avenging caitiff, Lasna Cheroon. Of these mobs i saw at this camp only the cloaked damphyre have i seen only once, the others are somewhat common. My guess is that Xicotl will spawn at this camp, but that is only a guess. i'm going to continue killing here to see.

The third orc camp that is east and south from the prior camp contains gypsies/werewolves and that is all I've seen there. Hope this helps people but the only thing i'm really looking for is Xicotl for my pally... very frustrating

Anyone know where Xicotl is or his place holder. I took a 55th ranger with me and still didn't c anything of his place holder or him. Found other old MM mobs that argo from far away beware. If u know his loc or his PH's loc plz post.

This quest is so fun. my pally did it only took 1 day every pally should do it.

Well, just got done with getting the hilt. After waiting for 2 hours for him to pop, I finally started the assault. With NO buffs, he took me down to about 20% before I LoH. After that, I was at 50% when I took on 3 casting adds. They had me down to about 15% when I thought I was done with them. Right as I clicked my gate potion, a fourth came. Luckily, it hit me only once during that 10 second cast time. I did not use and kind of damage spells against him. I had about 2100HP and about 966AC. Pretty low for my level but it works. When I got to my bind point, I was out of mana and had about 6% health left. Was interesting. Other information that you might find useful:

PH's named is "a Mistmoore Guard"
She runs when below 50% (Most in castle don't)
Root and kill her.
Spawn time was clocked at 14 minutes between.
Took me 2 hours, 1 death and 1 gate potion.
Best way in is through the back entrance.
A LOT of agro!
While waiting for named, you can sit in the spa.
Had a few mobs walk right past me into secret passage way. You can still see PH and named if you look up a bit.

Killed this guy and the first time don't have any hilt. The second time I kill him droped the hilt, was really easy at lvl 61.

I think it may be possiable to MQ the soulfire. When i did my hand in, i handed bro hayle the Sword, Hilt and My testimony. I DIDNT hand him the Note from the banker. He didnt give me the sword. Then i handed him the note, and a new glowing sword in my hand.
This has led me to belive that if someone hands in the hilt 1st (still need to be Warmly or higher), then the pally hands in the other stuff, he MAY be able to get his soulfire.
BE WARNED---This is an untested method. I may test it in future when i have no soulfire.

I headed into Castle Mistmoore and attempted to find and kill this fellow.

#1 Time 1600-1830 Eastern U.S. Real Time. Me 52 Paladin friend 58 Druid. Several Mistmoore Guards and named undead in pool. No Xicotl.

#2 Time 1700-1930 Eastern U.S. Real Time. Me and 51 Ranger. results Same as above.

#3 Time 0745-0830 Eastern U.S. Solo WIth KEU and Hand of Virtue I slayed my way in and sat in far corner of room. Both Mistmoore guard and undead lasy were up. Killed both. Mistmoore popped again and a short time later BINGO Xicotl!!

Slayed him, casted Divine Aura on myself and ran out to Tower area dropped off bridge and zoned.

MORAL: Their is no pattern for the SK. You just have to be patient and maybe a little luck and you will get him. Hopefully sooner than later

After many hours of camping this guy I would like to add some tips I learned for those in search of getting the hilt. First of all, if you're lvl 50+ you should have a really easy time, especially if you go in the backway through the secret entrances in the grave yard.
Most mobs will be pacify-able so it is possible to just run past mobs without fighting them if you can target them before they see you. Hitting F8 when you approach certain walls is a good way of pulling this off but it just targeting the nearest mob.
Once you get into the spa room, you can avoid aggro from the adjacent bedroom by fighting mobs in the cornor furthest away from the bedroom door.
The MM Guard is the PH'er, and you will want ot either kill her really fast or root/stun her, because she will run away if she gets the chance, she runs fast and you don't want to have to chase her down.
If you get into trouble and have to zone, start running back down the way you came (through the back) and simply jump off the bridge, which will drop you within a couple seconds run of the zone line. Hope this helps,

A guildmate (61 mage) and I camped the spa room for almost 3 hours before he popped. The mage had her epic pet and made short work of the room spawns and Xicotl as well. I worked on my Qeynos Guard faction and got Soulfire yesterday.

can a level 44 paladin with KEI, AEGO, haste, and paladin buffs solo this guy? any info would be appreciated.

I had nothing much to do a some morning and decided to go to Mistmoore and do some scouting to see where this SK spawns. I was 51 at that time and battled my way towards the castle entrance without to much trouble.

A level 52 druid of our guild came online asking what I was doing. Explained him what I was doing and he said he would come over.

We both didn't have a map and we only sort of knew where to find bathroom room so it took us half an hour to find it. Both went in and I killed the 3 mobs in bathroom very easely (Mistmoore guard only need one wellplaced hit and it died). Me and the druid placed ourselves in the far corners of the bathroom opposing the secret entrance and we didn't get aggro from nearby rooms. After a few kills the druid decided I had things under control and left.

I sat there for 2 hours killing spawns without much trouble and only on occasion getting aggro of a single mob from nearby rooms.

From what I saw the ph of Xito is on a faster spawntime then the rest of the mobs. If I have to put a time on it I would say 7 minutes for Mistmoore guard and 14 for 2 other bathroom spawns. I had the luck that Xito spawned alone and could focus on him without fighting adds. He took about 2000HP from me when I finally killed him. Did alot of stunning in the fight.

So at 51 this is very easy to do, just have nice enough resist (I resisted all of the spells of green mobs and a few of the LB mobs got through). Take a few invis potion with you to run safely to the bathroom cause fighting your way solo through the castle is suicide but once in the room you have no problem at all.

Well, i know not if i was just lucky, or if NOW it's normal. but Myself (46 paladin at the time0 My brother (54 monk) and his wife (52 druid) walked in, smacked everything in our path from the back door. and got to the spa/hottub, Killed xicotl, and left.... Simple as that...

/shrug maybe i was lucky... The only adds we had were the others in the room, (gota love charging into a blaze of gory) We slaughtered them easily, No LoH or nothing, and he had the hilt... From there i got real lucky and Lucan was up, so we quickly made work of him, and i got my soulfire the same day =o)

Camped Xicotl for 8 hours yesterday, we kept the nearby area clear also so ze wouldn't get any adds.

Our group gained lots off exp, and nice items, but after 8 hours he still hadn't popped. So we will try again very soon.

Are there any special things that you have to keep in mind to get him to spawn?

We camped him last night, sort of a mini-raid if you will. We fought our way in through the front door, because we had enough people who wanted the exp (we had 2 full groups, group 1- 38+, group 2, 28-38). We cleared out everything on the way in, got some of the nicer items that drop here, had a high level person train the room that had our lower level group in it, by the time the fighting was over we had lost 1 grp member and had 14 mobs corpses on the floor in one room. Lower group left shortly after, we camped a total of 3 1/2 hours, no hilt.

We raided Mistmoore last nite for the our fearless leader's epic, though he didn't pop. His placeholder (a guard, I'm told) is on a 14 minute timer. We were constantly getting aggro from the small room off of the bedroom, but since there were a great many of us, that was no trouble. :)

Let's recap:
1) PH is on a 14 minute timer.
2) Aggro from the small adjacent room is cake. :)
