I did not know where exactly where he would be. So I parked at the goblin camp NW of unrest and killed everything in the area. Took about 2 hours and he popped on druid track way off east of unrest up on wall. Stood here afk for a while and an undertow skellie wanders up there .. may be a wandering PH... who knows. This is just to confirm that as of last week, Dwingus does walk right next to the dwarf merchant at the top of the island. Went to Dagnor's with my 31 Cleric and a 31 Warrior expecting a long and frustrating time trying to find him and not sure we could kill him even if we did find him. Was sitting down next to dwarf to med up after getting rid of the undertow skeletons (damn green aggro) and he walks up and hits me. He was coming from the West if that helps anyone. Long hard fight for a pair of 31's but we got it.

31 druid took him. He broke root twice so I snared him and kited him with Creeping Crud, Immolate, and swarm. He constantly shot arrows at me and ran at 20%. Dropped the Ingot, hunting bow, and an arrow.

he spawns just between the tent of the 4 aqua goblins and the water.

I happened to be waiting for a LDoN group in Butcherblock and Dwigus was up on track. LB to me. Tracked him and to my surprise he attacked me LOL. I casted a dot on him and two DD spells and he went down quick. So yes he's still around. No clerics around for the loot though. =(

Not even looking for him and saw a aqua gobby running towards water near camp got enuff time to click him and get his name then he hit the water went down to get him and he was gone!

we camped the zone for at least 2 1/2 hours, and didn't find any named mobs. No Dwingus, no bilge. WHERE ARE THEY???!?!?!?!?

I guess I'll put my 2 copper pieces in. The only 2 times I have come acrossed Dwigus the following has occured. Between the Four Heros Camp and the Gobbie Camp there is a patch of green, I assume either grass or "moss". It is for the most part flat(ish). It appears to be home to 3 pops. They seem to be random pops. The first time I got Dwigus I was coming from the Gob Camp and noticed a Shaman, killed it, no Dwigus. Near the Shaman was a Marine, Killed it, no Dwigus. A bit further sort of on the side of the hill was another Marine, killed it, this one dropped a Bronze 2-Handed Sword..BINGO...Dwigus. A great while later, coming from the Heros Camp I noticed to the right, in the same three spots, three differant pops. Killed a Bossun, nothing. Killed a Shaman, nothing. Killed the Marine, again he dropped a Bronze 2handed sword and BINGO! Dwigus again. Now, is it the combination of all three? Is it the Marine with the Bronze 2-handed Sword? Is it a certain combination of the 3? Or is it the order of the 3? Or infact does it have anything to do with these 3? I don't really know. I just know the events that led to his popping for me. My wife and I had been looking for this guy to drop out of the red-con range for quite some time. Tonight at lvl 34 he conned yellow. My wife a 34 Druid, and I 34 Ranger set up our buffs while I kept my track on him...he runs around the zone and although his exact path is still unknown between the Goblin camp and the Unrest zone is a small area of flat land on the hill above that is where he will stop for a short time, it was then that the wife and I attacked. I rooted and snared him and he immediatly began pelting me with arrows. The wife set about hitting him with her DoT's (creeping crud and another fire DoT)by the time my roots broke he was a bub and 1/4 down. He then went after the wife, I rooted him again and pulled the aggro from her she hit him with immolate once or twice while I melee'd and cast flame arrow every chance I got. She had to heal me about three times when I was a half life...this kept up until he was 1/4 a bubble from 1 bub. Then she hit him with Fury of Air which sent him running. He's tough to chase thru the water but I was tracking him the whole time when he was low enuff I hit him with another flame arrow and killed him. Don't know if this will help anyone or not but throwing it out anyway. Good luck and good hunting.
Was attacked by him last night. He was under water between mainland and the island. Conned light blue at lvl 54. Able to easily kill him and got some exp also. Woud rather have found Bilge though lol.

Ok I'll admit right now I've never been to this zone, but WHERE exactly does the scalded rat/Dwigus spawn? I looked on the eqatlas.com map and it didn't have a specific spot for him... I see a few posts saying the rat runs for the guy on the hill, but from what direction? Can I just sit by the NPC on the hill and wait for the rat/Dwigus to come to me? Thanks in advance.

Was over there looking for Bilge today and this guy just walked past us (50 Warrior and 24 Ranger for tracking) straight out from the zone entrance. He headed into the water and I chased him since he was a named and there were only 2 others in the zone (mid 20s). He was Light blue to me and I killed him with me losing about half my health.
He dropped the typical hunting bow and 4 arrows as well as the Ingot of the Constant. No idea what it was for but took a stab that it was for the Cleric BP based on the name. Looks like I was correct. There wasnt a Cleric in the zone so I looted it myself. Will do the quest for sale purposes.

Engaged this guy with my 39 ranger. Was hitting for 83 but I dont see any doubles. I melled him til I was at 30% - he was down to about 50 then i ran towards butcherblock bow kiting him. His arrows hit for 10.
When I zoned he was at about 35/40% and I was under 20.
Next time i dragged him to the fab 4 and the dorf engaged him - the others stood by. When I got low i ran and agro lured him with the dorf still pokin him stoppin to heal myself, then root so he will finish off the dorf.
Still very hard. With him hitting for 83 he seems to be an underconned L40 mob.

Just got my little druid arse kicked good...resists alot and has a wicked and long bow and arrow. Should have been at full mana instead of half..he conned blue..much tougher than that!

to get him to pop kill the scaled rat that runs straight at the merchant on top of the hill. (Conium Darkblade) it will be facing him. as soon as its killed Dwigus pops. have fun 8)

I killed every "a scalded rat" in the zone, and in a few minutes Dwigus spawned.
Killing scalded rats will not necessarily cause Dwigus to spawn. I killed all the scalded rats in DC. No Dwigus. I killed all the cauldron rats in DC. Still no Dwigus. Ran around making sure that there were no rats or Dwigus anywhere in the zone (used 38th level bard) and there were no rats at all and no Dwigus. You might say that I didn't see him because bard tracking sucks. Yes, it does semi suck, but DC isn't a big zone. I can cover most of it with my bard tracking and running around and hitting track a bunch to be sure is a simple matter. I assure you, no rats and no Dwigus.
I began killing snakes and keeping the rats killed off. After probably 2 hours, I finally got Dwigus to spawn. My hunch is that anything in the zone can be a PH for Dwigus. I think that whenever you kill any mob (besides the good mobs) there is a small chance that Dwigus can pop.
Something else that happened to me: the first time I got Dwigus to pop, I logged out my bard and logged my cleric in. Well, I couldn't find Dwigus because he was running around the zone. After about 30 minutes of looking, I logged my bard back on. Sure enough, I found him again. I logged my cleric back, and again, couldn't figure out where he had run off too. Well, the 2nd time I logged my bard on, Dwigus was gone. There was no one in the zone the whole time I was doing this. I think that either Dwigus can de-spawn, or one of the goodies around the zone must have killed him. I had seen the camp site with the four named NPC's on the north end of the zone kill aqua goblins before, so maybe these guys got him. Oh well, hopefully someone can learn from this experience.

I was AFK in the tunnel to Unrest when apparently somebody trained Dwingus to the zone. Once again a problem that would've been avoided had I summoned a pet for protection.

I was just roaming around there the other day. I am a 51 Ranger of Tunare.
I ran into him with less than two bubbles of life left. I was playing with undeads in Unrest.
I killed quite easily, even though he conned low blue (aqua) to me.
Anyway, just trying to be helpful.

Dwingus or Bilge are not place holder of each other ! They are two separates spawns. This Week end we've camped Dwingus to have to his stupid incon of the constant.
We achieve to make Bilge poping twice without Dwingus.
To make Bilge Pop very simple keep all Tidal lords unpoped and Bilge will pop ! It can take 8 hours 30 to make him pop !
After killing Bilge for the second time Dwingus poped around one hour later without doing anything ! Quite strange !!

i was standing at the unrest zone with my warrior(lvl 26 or so then)when somebody trained Dwigus to the zone, there were about 6 people all meleeing him to death, since the guy that did the most dmg was killed i did the second most dmg and got the exp for him, which was almost 3 full blue bubs. I let somebody in my guild loot the quest piece because they wanted to do the quest.this guy is pretty easy when you have 6 tanks meleeing him =)

Fisrt of all, Dwingus and Bilge have different pathing. Also, when I first decided to kill Dwingus I engaged him then see a shout “Bilge!!!” which I take to be some lying dork messing around. Right after I drop Dwingus I track the player who shouted and run. I get there just in time to see Bilge drop by him and his buddy. Ever see a MOB and its place holder in the zone at the same time? No you haven’t. That’s why Dwingus isn’t Bilge’s PH.

this guy is tough. i'm a 19 ranger camping at the fab 4 and he came in and killed them all. luckily i was invis and just watched. he didnt even lose 1 bubb of health.

He Attacks, but I guess that depends on your level as well, if you are too high maybe he wont, I saw him when I was 36 and he came after me.

Ok now im no expert but... after reading through all the posts and camping the spawn there is a scalded rat that goes directly to the dwarf(unfortunatly, I didnt time the spawn but I will tonight) Anyway not too positive he may be like the mino in steam though timed/triggered spawn.m the rat may be the place holder :) <because he runs the same way right at the island dwarf>

i guess his lvl must vary. i am a lvl 345 druid. and saw him on scope while dropping in for bilge. i did not buff b/c i did not want to loss him. he conned uellow so i was looking at a low kite but i kicked his azz flat with 95% hp and 30m left. weird?

I'm a 35 druid and while looking for bilge saw dwigus up on tracking... slapped some buffs on, snared him, rooted him and doted him... then root broke and I decided to just nuke him down. I was already at 70% mana at that point (169wis) and he resisted some of my nukes so at 20% he was still at half life. I tried running and medding but got disconnected (stupid ISP). Came back, medded to full, slapped only skin like steel and regen on (don't bother putting your damage shields on because he hits for up to 84 and you have no chance of porcupining) and I snared him and nuked him all the way down. Conned yellow to me.

Removing unnecessary spoilers.
If he drops the Ingot of Constant, let a cleric loot it. It's a NO DROP item for a cleric quest armor.

ok now thats a load of crap, great post, lots of info, but your making a wiz out to be helpless because a mob is shooting arrows :p. First off at 29 a wizard gets a snare spell that is a reasonable amount of mana (I think 75ish) and for a 29 wiz it should only be less than half a bub of mana to cast, then at 4 we get root, and we could also use this root to duck behind the mountains in the zone as stated ealier in the zone. Also at 29 we have a 230ish nuke that is fire based, so no big deal with resists on this mob. granted the wiz is at least lvl32 there is no reason why one couldnt take this mob down way easy. Just my 2c.

I Just killed him, he was half way between unrest and the goblin camp, I saw somthing pop as I was looking for the paly quest npc. anyways I conned it blue and figure I would take him out, he was very tough for me a level 38 paladin had to root him and heal myself and use lay on hands. hope this helps

I have waited for him now for 4 hours with no success. I did hear killing the Gobins at the camp helps, not sure if this is true but so far he hasnt spawned, im gonna try the sit by the water close to Unrest see if that helps, track at lvl 51 is like Maxed so I know Ive not missed him to, he just never popped.

Best place to catch him in my experience is just sit outside unrest by the water. This is where he has nailed me twice just for being alive. Fortunately, I have a lvl 9 cleric. Can you say Twinkie?

i'm a 40 druid and just killed dwigus in solo, just snare him, dot him and then root and wait (hard to root it seems), and eventually nuke (fury of air is nice it stuns also. you can't med while he's rooted because he has a bow and continuously shoot you). after fight i was 60% life and 20% mana

LOL!! Perhaps, or so you would think! My ranger with a Trueshot Bow (range 100) and basic fletched arrows (range 125) was at my range limit and STILL was getting hit by a centaur in SK with basic hunting bow (range 50) and basic merchant arrows (range 25). Can we say that the rules don't apply to mobs? Yes we can! ;)

he is tougher..
green to lv50 but can still got exp,
i almost got kill from him~~
i got him at orc camp, don't know where he spawn but u should can got him at there..
he hit hard like 40~80 point

Ya. I just killed him last night, and he was blue to me at level 49

I saw him spawning close the gob camp and slow walking to the mountainside. He also spawns at the entrance of Unrest. He hits me (level 47) for about 84dmg.
