Kindle is a rare Fire Imp, who is found in Solusek's Eye. He is a very rare spawn (at least in my experience)

He still pops in room above fire elementals. LOC -104, -736, 51. He dropped all 3 items while waiting for stuff for mage epic 1.. incase someone wondered.
May Karana Bless You with Rains when YOU need them, and your enemies with Drought when you need it.

Was camping the fire elementals for my "Power of Fire" for epic ... ran around and saw Kindle (although i did this for 3 hours, with no Power of Fire!! /sign) ...
Kindle went down easily and had the gloves on him. Guess I got lucky, although I'd rather have the stupid Power of Fire. For other mage's ... I've killed about 15 of them with no drop yet. Ridiculous. Oh well.

me(35 ranger) and 2 friends(30 cleric, 31 sk) took him, reckless ifreet, 2 fire elementals, and a flame gob resulting in only 1 death(the SK died). I almost bit the dust, the cleric was OOM and got heals off for 300+ just about when i had less then 100hp left. But it wasnt to bad. The gob and 2 elementals were wthe problem. Got the bead hoop and plat arm band.

Ok spent over 14 hours camping him to get the gloves.
In the process I got 6 rings, 7 bead hoops, 1 platinum armband, 1 Charred Boots (or something), 1 Drakescale belt, and just some other minor drops.
The last 10 hours kindle NEVER spawned, and 6 of those hours Singe hadn't either. He finally spawned and dropped the gloves and i decided to bail.
What i did determine is, there are approximately 6 different specific locations that Kindle can spawn. They respawn at every 2 hours and may be a place holder. Singe too can spawn in about 3 of these locations. All spawns at these locations are wanderers.

My wife (40 Druid) and I (40 Shaman) went to camp him and Gabbie for some items for my twink necro and we were camping Gabbie cause some 51 level Paladin was camping Kindle for like about 2 hours and didn't get him to pop so he left and we got to his room and sat down to start the long and arduous process of the camp and we killed the gobbies and waited Me her and my pet. Then Varsity Blues came on TV so we were killing gobbies and watching this movie and about 2 hours after we started he popped and attacked my pet so we nuked him to death and Lucky me! He had the gloves on the first spawn.
Sat down to get my wifes chanter some and eventually got my ass spanked by too many gobbies when my pet chased one down. Heh Go figure.

I timed it 2 hours of Kindle he spawns in his hall way after he spawns bout 1-5 mins he will start wondering most of you pick him up while hes wondering you can sit in the hall before he spawns right accross from that goblin spawn near the maul on the wall and just watch for him. If you dont believe me sit there kill him once then hit start on a stop watch when you kill him and just watch the most you have to kill is that spare gobby that spawns right behide you. Other the nthat its a simple spawn.. if you actucaly get bored clear the room out or something i just Powerleveled my brothers warrior cause i needed a tank =P till he spawned.. no gloves last night thou

If I remember correctly there is no faction hit with Kindle. There IS a faction hit for killing the Fire Goblins though, but I haven't taken one for killing any of the Named NPC's.

I went in to try to get Singe's belt for Naggy. I was shown the way by a little druid that I helped get some exp, then she gated to the front where it was safer. I sat there clearing alone about lvl 49 I was then....
Kindle spawned and I killed him. He had the gloves. I sent tell to the druid who had said she tried for 4 days with no gloves. She couldnt believe it. I waited another approx 2 hours for Singe when Kindle came at me after spawning in the circle room. I killed him again and he had the gloves again!
Kindle showed another time at least 3 hours later but only had the ring. Then another 2 hours Singe showed and no belt.
I left. Later I was going through EC and saw an auction for the Drakescale belt for 150p! HA! That was a deal. I made more than that selling all the fs, herbs, ore, etc to the gnomes.

I killed him a few times last night, but the first time I tried him I very nearly killed myself. Having gotten used to trashing the Goblin wizard-types using my fast weapons and just taking the 1-2 point damage shield, I couldn't believe how fast my health was falling. I Feigned, bandaged back up, mended, and switched to my Sage's Battle Staff (25/40). Using that and Flying Kick, I killed him taking less than 1 bubble of damage... 3 kills to date, no gloves :(

Well I must say you were quite lucky. Two friends helped me camp this last night and out of six hours maybe he spawned 4 times at the most and didn't drop the gloves at all. Oh well, I guess I'll head back again and try some more.

I am a 40 Necro and got the gloves within 15minutes. Here is the scope from what I concluded.
1) I cleared the north room where the block goes up and down 1st.
2) Pulled the other gobos from the room south of the mentioned above room. This south room is the one you can walk around in a circle. Was able to pull the 3 gobos in that room as singles doing this.
3) When I originally killed the north room Kindle came from the south room but none of the other gobos from the south room. Kindle spawned everytime in this circular room. The room labeled #2 from the eqatlas.com map.
4) Kindle seemed to spawn every 5 mins for me. For a total of 3 spawns. I received the Impskin gloves on the 3rd spawn.
5) For you other necros all I did was Augment Pet, Renew Bones, Root, VoS and the occasionaly Vampiric Embraced to offset my CoB. I only VoS the gobo shaman and wizard. the fire gobos my pet took down with no problem
6) After reading other posts i had to add this from my experience. I never killed any wandering gobo. I killed the 3 in the Kindle room and 1 in the room north of that. And he spawned 3 times for me in 5minute intervals.
Hope this helps shed some light on any questions you may have trying this camp. I dont know if I was totally lucky or what but I thought Kindle seemed to be a normal spawn. He spawned everytime just like the other gobos. Good Luck

Kindle is a wandering mob, and does have a place holder. You'll know you've killed the place holder when you do as it is the only wandering goblin in that northern part of the tunnels. Also you mite find you have an easier time if you stay up north rather than in the circular room....
Just a thought.

Who really cares about which goblin is a placeholder ? Go up to Kindles room and consistently kill every moving thing in between the captains room and the stairs and eventually you will see Kindle. In 5 hours of clearing the trash I saw Kindle twice, got the gloves on the second kill.
Also on a side note, this says he is summoned, but go and try to cast Expel Summoned on him, doesnt work, so he is not summoned.

I read all these posts, and it seems that I may know something they don't. I unfortunately had the experience of taking two full days with my level 52 dark elf wizard, and my wife (level 56 dark elf warrior) to camp this until we each got a pair of gloves (she needed one for her twink). Since we were so high, we were able to keep everywhere from the 'overpass' tunnel entrance all the way up to the captain's room cleared 99% of the time. Everything in there has a 18minute spawn, so using my Ice Comet I would time them, so that I'd just walk the length of the thing, whacking goblins off one by one as they spawned. This whole experience revealed to me that Kindle does NOT have a placeholder. He is a Rare Roaming spawn. This means he can spawn ANYWHERE along the path I mentioned, and at any time, randomly. We killed him like 15 times before we each got our gloves. By then we were very tired and collapsed into bed. Took us 36 hours all told. If I had known what it was going to take, I would have just bought them. The reason most people think he has a PH is because occasionally one of the goblins near the Captain's room will start to roam as soon as it spawns. Kindle also roams as soon as he spawns. You will know Kindle when he spawns because of the "Kindle begins to cast a spell" text. In hindsight, I think the best way to do this camp is how others normally do it, come by, clear it all, if he's there, great, if not, call it quits and come back later. Waiting for a random spawn just isn't worth it.

Kindle spawns in one of three places. Either in the Kindle room (the one with the shooting spears), right before the Kindle room, or right after the Kindle room (the room with the moving rock that comes down from the cieling). His placeholder is a random Goblin. He will immediately start to wonder back and forth, through the Kindle room. So, if you sit in the Kindle room doorway you can't miss him. Kisten for his flapping wings. The sound is either him or Singe.
I noticed that his placeholder seems to spawn every 30 minutes; unlike the other spawns which take 18 minutes. This should make him a little easier to recognize.
Easy to kill for a 44 mage. He has about 800 hps.

Aye, exactly right about the spawning spots. I have seen his Placeholder spawn more often near the room past the Kindle room, between there and the outer part of the Captain's room.
There is only 1 placeholder, and that placeholder's spawn spot switches among the 3 places mentioned before.
However, I don't think that Kindle's PH has a longer spawn time. I always do the Captain's room along with Kindle's, because Kindle often heads into the Captain's room before heading to his own. Kindle or his placeholder spawns right in sequence with the others. Hehe, probably just SEEMS longer.
Another little hint, Kindle casts a damage shield on himself. So even if you have your sound off, you can see the "Kindle begins to cast a spell" message.
This camp, while not incredibly dangerous, can be difficult for this particular 44 enchantress that I play. Though I run into more trouble in the Captain's room, than in Kindle's. I just like things free and clear for when I dash around looking for Kindle. I bet I've spent 15 hours camping Kindle, and I've only seen him 4 times. Oddly enough, 3 of those times were nearly right in a row, and that after I'd been camping him 5 hours and seen nothing. No gloves though.
Bring along a lot of patience for this camp. I'm about to break down and buy them, but that'd let Kindle know he's won, and I can't allow that!

I camped the Kindle room from 9pm to 1am last night. I did not see him once! Im can only assume which one of the gobs was a placeholder. I killed everything in, or around "Kindle's room." Breaking the spawn is very easy; the mobs are far enough not to aggro.

he is a random spawn.. i have camped him many times, sometimes he spawns 2 times in the 30 min period, sometimes not for hours, couple times i have gone in and he was there dropped gloves, spawned again, dropped glvoes again.... the post above is right about loc, he spawns right in doorway, before doorway around the stairs, or close to the captain room, but he always wanders into the "kindle room"
hope this helps...

side note, i always camp him while waiting for a group in sol b, been very nice for me....rarely camped

Does anybody have a definative location where this guy spawns? My own suspicion is that he spawns right outside the captain's room, then starts roaming.
I was camping the so-called "Kindle Room" and his placeholder always walked into the room from the hall to the captain's room. I'm a little scared to go too close to the captains room to investigate, but on the other hand there's so many magicians cleaning out every spawn in sight now, that I'd like to be able to waste Kindle before he wanders off too far.

I've been camping this room forever, it seems, and have yet to get a pair of impskin gloves. I can only force myself to go around four hours per session, but I have only seen Kindle once, sadly.
As has been mentioned, he wandered in from the North hall when I saw him. And just prior to that, when I was killing the goblin by the entrance to Kindle's room, near the South hall entrance, I targeted Kindle through the wall, accidently. Believe me, that shocked me, and I started scrambling around, trying to see where he was. He came from the North hall, about 15 seconds after I'd targeted him on a random click.
I've questioned whether or not I knew where his placeholder was, since I have spent so much time there, and have had so little success. I have been killing every mob from the Captain's room clear to Singe (and this is NOT easy for a 44 enchanter. Though I'm sure some other enchanter will correct me, and say it's a snap) and like I said, have only seen Kindle once in about 12 hours of camping.
I owned a pair of the gloves once, and traded them to a person who was either insane or incredibly desperate. She offered a Glowing Black Stone or Golden Efreeti boots for the gloves. I caved in and took the boots, knowing that Kindle was in Sol A, and only level 26. I fiugred I'd just hop over one night and get them. Hehe, yeah, right.
This room is easy once you break it, though there's always a chance that something can go wrong. The Captain's room is more dangerous yet, as you can sometimes end up with 5 or mobs at once. I wouldn't recommend doing both rooms at once unless you're confident you can pull singles or doubles (or you're a very high level, in which case, you're probably item FARMING, which is deplorable).
One tip to alleviate the boredom, is to take a level 25-32 friend down with you. Even grouped, he will probably get xp, which will keep him interested, and give YOU someone to talk to, not to mention a wee bit of backup, just in case.
These gloves sell for an easy 3500 to 4000 on the Druzzil Ro server. Hehe, and I'm about ready to pay the price! I'm sick of this camp.
One little, tiny plus is that even if you aren't in the mood to run to the gypsies and sell all the Fine Steel that drops, platinum also drops here quite a bit, and of course gold. You can look for a banker outside in Lavastorm.

Kindle is one of the most rediculous mobs in the game. I sort of wish he were slightly higher level so that when I camped him I'd at least gotten some experience. Here's some good information for you if you're an int caster and wish to get yourself a pair of imp skin gloves to buff that all important int stat:
http://www.eqmaps.com has a very good map of Solusek A. It was done by Draelon Stormsong of the Band of the Broken Bow. Most of the rare spawns are indicated on his map accurately, if you plan on going after Kindle or anything else in Sol A, check this map.
Kindle is located fairly deep in the dungeon, near the Fire Goblin Captain's room. My Magician had a difficult time soloing his way into the room at level 40 due to goblin runners and the pathing of Sol A, but at 44 I was able to snuff mobs quickly enough that they didn't run and held the room solo. Everything in Sol A will aggro on you if you're visible, and Shamans and Wizards see through invisibility.
Make sure you know where the zone to Sol B is. A very short distance from the marked 'Kindle Room' is a zone into Solusek B which can be a great way to escape. I've hunted Sol B a good deal and also done the Kindle Camp a couple times. I've never seen this particular zone trained, so running here should be a safe bet 99% of the time.
Kindle will wander into the 'Kindle Room' from the north hall periodically. I encountered him twice in a period of about 3 hours and both times he dropped the ring the first time I made it to his room.
Finally, the real loot off this little fellow are his Gloves. The rings are worth a little, but those gloves can get you a pretty penny from an Int caster if you aren't one but get ahold of some. Personally I'd pay 500p for them due to the trouble it is to get to and break Kindle's room.
Cheers!

I disagree that it's hard to get to, break, and hold Kindle's room as a 40 mage. I am 42 myself, and have the same spells you do. In general, you make an earth elemental and cast a DS on it and let it go nuts. It can tank 3 mobs at once if you stay far enough. Just keep it healed and the DS will do its work.
From the main Sol A entrance, you cast invis and go as far to Kindle's room as you can without being detected. If most of the hallway trash has been cleared by others, you can usually make it there still invisible. If you happen to come across a spell casting goblin that sees you, just stop to nuke it to death with Shock of Spikes (the lv 24 spell). Don't be afraid to get hit a bit. As soon as you are forced to lose invis and have time to spare, make the pet, then make it the rest of the way.
A good place to purposely lose invis and cast your pet is before the tunnel to Kindle's room, under the "overpass." Go into the corner to the right as far as you can. There's a goblin spawn near, but he won't care.
As usual when soloing and relying on your pet a lot, it's worth re-summoning it if you get a weak one. Just wait until it's safe. There are 4 spawns with an 18 minute cycle in Kindle's room, very easily soloable. I'm sure I could have done it when I was lv 34-38 had I tried.
Breaking the room was pretty easy for me. I made the pet guard in the "overpass room" and then purposely hit the first goblin to my right in Kindle's room. Run back as far as you can so the pet engages it in the tunnel, and not in Kindle's room. Do this for each of the spawns. Usually they pull solo, but don't worry if they come 2 or 3 - they are 15-20 levels below you.
Not much else I can say, except that I do not actually have a pair of the Gloves yet. Three rings, and I've been there about 4-5 hours (I do retain my sanity by taking breaks). The 18 minute spawn time in the room is more than adequate for you to maximize the downtime and go slaughter the nearby goblins and rake in their Fine Steel weapons. I make about 80-100pp every time I am forced to go sell.
One final note - 18 minutes is definitely long enough to leave and come back (even by foot and encumbered) to go sell in Lavastorm if you get bogged down (and you will) by Fine Steel and High Quality Ore. I did it in 14 minutes, without using Gate. Just enough time left to make a pet, buff it, and med up.
P.S. It sucks to have Fire Goblin Skin drop so often and be LORE! It was pretty hard to get this at lv 25-30, and it seemed so rare back then. Now I have to destroy each one I loot.

Just enough time left to make a pet, buff it, and med up.

the bag can only hold 4 items. we get an upgrade to 6 at some level...but i really dont see somebody making 80-100pp out of only 6 fs weapons. maybe he ran out of room? think before you flame, dumb newb.

Impskin Gloves are still 3-5k pp on Fennin Ro and I was thinking about going to solo this guy as a 39 mage for another pair. Gloves are in high demand. Can it be done by sneaking in there and fighting only a few things? how crowded is his room?
