Can do him with a 85 bard and 80 mage with a 80 tier4 tank and 85 tier4 healer. Kind of a tough fight but not bad.

has dropped chest twice and legs/arms once now , one time dropped no essesnce. dropped nice belt twice and collar twice.

This is THE mission for general T3 Essence farming. I would do progression until you can request this and them farm it steady for complete T3 set. The chest piece is rare but not crazy rare as to make this a waste of time. If you just need the chest piece, I suggest camping Eazack the Cruel in The Hatchery. An easy camp with 2 nameds possible from 4 mobs in that room and the bottom of the first stairs. Beware there is one roamer if you camp at the stairs but it too can spawn a named for 3 named from 5 total phs. Eazack spawned about 1/5 phs, dropping an essence 1/4 times. Set a timer, I think its 15:45 on the mobs. GL.

Hey all. I needed chest pieces so I figured farming Bite was the best way. Here is the breakdown of how many tries and what loot he dropped for me:
302 Missions got me 108 Bite spawns (so roughly 1/3 the time bite spawns)
108 Bites dropped:
54 Chokadai Collars
35 Chokadai Spinestrip Belts
10 Biting Spinestrip Belts
8 Biting Collars
7 Distorted Seminal (Arms and Legs)
5 Phased Seminal (Chest)
8 Fractured Seminal (Wrist and Hands)
12 Warped Seminal (Head and Feet)
Bite never enraged once. Another helpful tip: If you need to add someone to the task to loot, make sure that any camped toon(s) are dropped from the group/task or you won't be able to add new players. We were a mixed group of 84/85 with Mercs and successfully added toons as low as 72 to loot gear.

The spawn rate on this thing is ridiculous... 29 missions, waiting 13 minutes till ph pops... and I haven't even seen him once. WTF!

Hey The Dankins.....I suspect the spawn rate seems broken if you are in the wrong spot. From the zone in head in and left up the stairs to level 2. Take your first right and run all the way to the end, when he reach the end bear right and take the stairs up once more to level 3. Walk a short distance ahead and take your first left. This is the barracks area. It is more or less a square with a few rooms off it but THIS is where Bite spawns. He walks around the square and it takes 13 mins for Bite or his PH to spawn. The PH is a normal level 85 Scaled Warder.

how often does Bite actually spawn ... i have done this instance 10 times and never seen him spawn

On a side note I was paying close attention to the spawn of Bite and just so happens I was sitting in the corner waiting for him to spawn and to my surprise I saw the ph spawn and de-spawn! like a blink of an eye, but Im positive I saw it flash and a minute latter Bite! Don't know but it was good!

For those of you boxxing if you can get a snare on him you can kind of kite him if your tank goes down, just make sure you have some way to dps him afterwards because he will summon you and drop you a bit so just run away when he summons and do something for dps, rogues can click the ssra poisons in between summons

The defiant nightstones and ect are universal loot, they dotn need to be added to named tables

ive noticed that sometimes when i kill him he enrages and other times he doesnt.. idk if its true but i killed him 3 times in a row all times hes enraged.. i come back the next day he kicks my ass before he has a chance to enrage and when i get a friend to come help me i noticed he hasnt enraged.. if its true then he has a chance to enrage and if he does hes easier in the long run to kill... once again i may be smoking something but this is just from what ive seen (no im not literally smoking something) can anyone confirm that he doesnt always enrage?

Bite spawns every 15 minutes in the task "Audience with the Warmaster" he drops tier 3 essences for all tier 3 pieces: head,arms,legs,chest,head,hands,and wrists.
My guild uses Bite to get all our tier 3 gear. We get a full group and each person gets their own task of "Audience with the Warmaster" and goes in the instance. Usually half of the people will get Bite to spawn in there instance. The people who didnt get Bite to spawn goes to one of the other persons instance and they kill him. After that they go to the next person who got Bite to spawn and kill him there and so on. Once everyone has killed Bite just simply grab the task again. Using this we get our guilds tier 3 armor in no time.
There might be other ways to do this, but this way you do not have to compete against everyone else that in Field of Scale.

How do you request the task multiple times for each group member? I got the "group member already has a shared task" message.

The task getter gets a task and adds person #2 to the task. The task getter drops the task. #2 zones into the tasks and waits...

I've done this mission once. After we killed named it did not spawn again. We were in the zone for over 2 hours killing and farming experience. Once we finish the arc we will go back and farm. Hopefully we have better luck next time.
I've figured it out. No respawns. Have to get the mission over and over like the OOW instanced when farming for CoD pieces.

Has the rarity of this spawn increased, or possibly bugged?
I know I'm a bit unlucky at times, but 12 times into the zone, and after the 15 min, the PH popped every time. I cannot imagine I'm that unlucky, that's just insane.
Is there something I'm missing, some hint to getting him to spawn?

I'm doing this instance, 9 boxing, one instance per toon, and I'm at 27 instance in a row with not a single named.
Try and beat that bad luck, I'll post when I get, actually, if I get a named.

On Feb 3rd-4th, we did this instance maybe 5-6 times in a row. First time no named until 20 minutes, which was odd. Next 2 attempts had him spawn at 13 minutes, next couple had PH, and then him again on last attempt.
this mob will drop various essences.

it can take up to 15min for the named to spawn in the instances but if he doesn't spawn by 15 min they dont spawn its about 1 in 3 has the named in it

also this mob supposedly drops all essences can any confirm i have seen it drop the distorted feet/head essence and arms/legs essence
also the corrupt sentinel in knowledge instance in the library drops all essences too but i havent seen the BP on either mob yet

This instance doesn't repop, so it would have to spawn at the beginning. I don't see Bite in the instance I'm doing now, but we don't have a tracker, & I have no idea where his spawn point is, so maybe he's just hiding somewhere I haven't checked.

He (or the PH) will spawn after you have been IN the instance for 15 minutes. He is on the 3rd floor. Easily boxed with a 85 shm, 85 rog, with T4 cleric and tank mercs.

Its less than 15, more like 13 or less, least it was for me the few times I did it. He has been a wanderer on the 3rd floor each time as well. He spawns and wanders around one of the barracks on that level. If he doesn't pop, a normal scale mob will pop in his place. You do NOT need to kill anything to make him spawn. I tend to set up in the corner at about -124, -11, make sure to look in the little room near that to see if any static mobs are up, if so you will need to move to the corner to the east, or you will get agro. Mob is Snarable/Rootable. Hope this info helps.

Update #2: Killed Bite dead. Casts Bleeding Bite. Dropped belt & Warped essence.
