Spawn rate of any named in earth wing is simply abysmal -- been seeing one elder drake about every 5 - 7 hours (one squire in over 70 hours).

Which makes signet waaay too common. Should be more like 8:1 ratio there (yeah, we only have 1 charm slot but 8 visible armour slots there sony...), the way it is now is nothing short of absolutely frustrating.
Can't wait to get all the stuff I want from this wing so I can forever leave this blasted area.

You may have had very bad luck, or the drop rate may have changed. I went to earth a few hours ago, cleared the elder and squire PHers, got PHers in both their places so kill them again, got squire and elder both pop. Squire dropped 3 loots, and elder dropped the charm and an essence. I was suprised that both mobs dropped so much loot, but having never spent much time in Cryst before I didn't stop to think too much about it. I cleared to more cycles of PHers before leaving after that.
Sandbattered Signet of Comfort also drops from An Elder Earth Drake in Crystallos.
