Good posts. Good info and all...but it's soooo much easier to just find someone who has maxed out research skill. I know my chanter does, and I knock them out pretty quickly with the charta and solution being the major cost...maybe around 2K. Seldom fail.

Righteous Fury Rk.II becomes available from Jashy in Dragonscale Hills (LOC = +145, +380, +171) with Kindly faction to Crusader's of Veeshan.
CoV faction went from Dubious to Kindly by completing 3 of Gather the Essence Solo Tasks and about 5 hours of faction tagging another group in Crystallos.
Task giver is Dwindlix in Dragonscale Hills. Dwindlix can be found in the NE corner of the zone (east of the zone to Steamfont), in the gnome camp next to the telescope. The task requires you to collect 10 Essences off mobs in Crystallos. The Essences can be pre-looted (confirmed up to 20 at a time - not sure if credit is given beyond 20?).
Guildmate reported getting from Dubious to Kindly CoV faction after completing four Gather the Essence tasks.

You have three options to choose from. 1. Any mob in Crystallos gives you faction. 2. See Dwindlix (location is right next to the catapult) and get the essences tasks for Crystallos. 3. Kill the mobs located in the cavern on the way to Crystallos.
There's also the daily "errand" task from the tower where you deliver something to Skyshrine. If you have key from Cobalt Scar to Skyshrine (is it still needed?) and you aren't KOS in Skyshrine, this is a pretty quick and easy task.

With dubious faction he won't sell to me, though with sneak on (ie indif faction) I am only offered Seals of the Elements).
Edit: Rumour has it the faction is Crusaders of Veeshan. Can't confirm it just yet.
