I saw it today and bought it for my Ranger using my monk since the tome is not no drop. Its trade able. Some people buy them from this npc and sell them for double that price in the bazaar. Might be worth it if the person has tons of cash and doesn't want to bother with pharming for faction

The uncored items will show up as you defeat the SoF Tier 3 raids, Soulbleeder and BMK3 for Wrists, and the 6 MMM raids: Krond=Arms, Brinda=Head, Prototype=Hands, Breakneck=Feet, Bargangle=Legs, Meldrath=Chest.

He will sell you this when you are indifferent faction (not apprehensive). It is a container so you have to have a top slot open in order to buy it. It is used to combine a steam core with a piece of equipment. My lvl 80 necro successfully combine a steam core with a glossy silk robe to make a Necrotic Silk Robe. The stats are AC 74; 425 htpts; 450 mana; etc. The steam core embedder is consumed/lost during the combine. I'm pretty sure the combine is no fail.

I was able to get to Kindly with Strike Force V today, and the first set of spells (which includes Blood of the Devoted Rk. 2) is available to me, so kindly or possibly high kindly is enough to get those to show up.

It appears, to me at least, that the Steam Core Embedder is used to upgrade armor drops in SoF.

Steam Core: Consort
Steam Core: Dedicant
Steam Core: Dream
Steam Core: Druadic
Steam Core: Intensity
Steam Core: Martialism
Steam Core: Necrotic

The Gyro Core Embedder is pricer and no Gyro Cores have yet been discovered so I assume Gyro Cores are a higher tier than Steam Cores. I have not been able to find the armor that is upgraded by these cores yet. Steam Cores have been found dropping in The Steam Factory.

I dropped a Mnk/Pally steamcore in S.H.I.P. Workshop but do not remember the name. I do know the camp was in the very entrance, the room you take the first elevator in the the zone to get to. Our monk was pulling from the room just inside the door. I lost the roll, but from that first room we dropped a Mnk/Pal steamcore. If you're asking gyrocore, no clue.

He is on Ak'Anon Stike Force V, do the quests in the tent camp above the farm in Dragonscale Hills, the giant robot quests from Overvolt Rigster the IV
next to the cannon in Dragonscale Hills, the Creepfeet Thievery quest from Miggletik Biggerton in Loping Plains, or quests in FM.
