I've hardly played in the new zones and I ran over to buy my spells with no problems at all.
The zone-in appears safe, I invis'd and ran to my right, around the edge to find him. I don't think you need to invis, I did not see any mobs close, but being my first trip to the zone I didn't know. Perhaps there's roamers.
