ran to this island even after reading the horror stories of this aug. pulled 3-5 snakes/basilisk at a time and melee'd/AEd them down. next cycle popped and the first snake i killed was replace by this guy. killed him and bam got the AC aug. waited around for the rest of the beach to respawn, got the named basilisk and his necklace, hit track and again the named snake towards the end of the beach with ANOTHER aug. 2 augs in about 20mins, insane. had my bard friend run and loot. not rare you just need luck!
another garayy gali a few minutes later, this time he dropped the earring.

I was doing Hand Aug Quest, ran to this island, saw him up, killed it within 2 minutes and he dropped the AC aug the first time. I wasn't planning on camping Garayy after I read the below posts but was it appears I was very lucky.

Well I've camped this mob for almost two whole levels now... 77 and 78 (just dinged 79!). I have 10 lovely rings under my belt and 30 fresh AA's on my boxed wizard. My ranger has yet to have seen the elusive aug.
I have had stints of 5-6 hours with no nameds pop (Snake or Lizard). This camp is utterly disgusting. If it wasn't for the fact of this being a fairly nice aug form a relatively easy mob I wouldn't even consider going back.
Just wish I knew a way to spawn the mob easier. I could deal with the camp a little better knowing I would get the mob to spawn more often.

It took me exactly 53 minutes to solo this mob. I didn't have any way of snaring it, so I couldn't get far enough away to get a nuke off. I had to dot with my one dot (120ish per tick) and had my pet following behind for a bit of dps. My pet didn't have sow or soe, so couldn't keep up with the mob. I had to run kind of tight circles so the pet could get his hits in. I took lots of hits, and would run off a ways to re-rune myself. I also ran out of mana regen when the mob was at 30 percent, but didn't bother running far enough away to re-mem C6 and cast it on myself.
All in all it was fun, and is by far the highest level mob I've ever solo'd. It dropped the earring, which I can't use, but I will pass it along to someone that can use it.

Just want to warn you guys who is going to camp the 20/60 aug.This snake is a rare spawn and the aug is a rare drop off it.So,expecting to spend LOTS of time here if you really really want that aug.I am 75 Ranger on Tribunal,and I have soloed here quite a while for about 30AA alone(thats right,thirty AA on soloing these PH snake with root-shoot).And I can assure you,this camp sux.rare drop from a rare spawn really really makes you exhausted quickly.The named pops chance is 1% I would say.So far,I have seen 4 Galis and all it drop is the stupid ring which I cannot even use.GGRRRR,this is worst than Jboot-AC camp in the old day.At least we can get AC when the yclop is up.....

I've been looking for this mob on and off for 3 months. Spent about 14 hours on this isle doing hand aug and still no luck. What's going on with me?! hehe. Hope others have better luck.
Easy solo by a 75 ranger. Root rotted, didn't notice the Gali Poison II proc, but he hit me a few times, and maybe I got it, maybe I didn't. He seemed to dispell me, but maybe the Spirit of Eagle wore off at a bad time. Apparently the aug is the rare drop.

Does anyone know if Gali or Yuundi summon?

Garayy Gali, as well as the other (Garayy yuundi) can pop from any of the spawn spots.
Killing trash, there are several spawn spots, but not all have mobs up. Kill one, and it has the chance to pop from any other.
Fastest way to get either named to spawn is to keep killing up and down the shore. Kill snakes for gali, kill basilisks for yuundi.
Basilisks have a HUGE agro range though. Nothing assists eachother, its all proximity agro.
And because a spot looks safe to set up camp, doesn't mean it is. Something may pop there after you kill some mobs.

Still trying to spawn this. is it a timed spawn or PH kill? anyone know? I spent 5 hours killing the snakes/basilisks at his spawn area to no avail.

Easy kill for 80 Pal solo (two mins).
