I've cleared from the bottom griffons to the top griffons no less than 25 times, and haven't had a single Attendant Jin`zhu spawn.
For folks who might still be camping this.. the easiest place to camp from is at the bottom of the nests. There's a big wide open mobless space down there between where the Advisors spawn and the lower griffons. If your puller has levitate, they can run from the top ledge all the way to the bottom ledge without touching ground once in between, which makes the pulls stun-free and painless.
I just wish you better luck on your spawn rates than I've had.

Spawned at static spot & sat. Loc (1710 x - 810 x -160)
I have camped this guy for 4 days, at first i was camping all the nests near Named Advisor spawn, not pulling the first 3 nest form tunnel, He never spawned 1 time. Today i went and clear 2nd and third nest form tunnel area and he spawned after first clearing , was a static for me. So he is most deffinately on the first few nests coming from tunnel area, dont waste your time with others. Hope this helps, dropped range item, and of course the disk.
Location he spawned for me was.. 1568 , -1025, - 109
Pulled from location.. 1644, -800 , -136 only 2 static mobs on this nest and cleared UP from here, not down..

Dropped a Lava-Seared Drakkin Heart aug today. Roamed onto the island just before the 4th proximity update for the 18th part of the Wanderlust loadstone aug quest (120 hp, all / all item)
This guy can spawn in stationary locations too which is a pain, he dropped the disk every time, if the side with the gate is the far side and the other side is the near side, he spawned for me 2x as a wanderer and 2x more as a stationary mobs on the second platform (from the near side). I didnt bother to note if he was standing or sitting whe he dropped the shoulders, but that would seem to be his rare drop (he spawned once while sitting not sure if that is the time he dropped the shoulders or not.

I'm gonna guess his shoulders are Scaleguard Spaulders. Not certain, but seems to fit.

Also drops shoulders with increased healing on them. We farmed his area for over 8hours. noticed he can spawn anywhere in the Egg tender area. He only dropped the shoulders when we got him to spawn in his stationary (sitting) position. when he spawned in any other position we only got the ranged item.
Not sure if its a fact yet but that is what we noticed.
