Killed him 2 times in a 9 hours run of Vald Pit last nite. Easy mob I think Whitemare or whatever his name is harder due to his 5kdd he casts. However this guy does charm not fear. Altho charm only lasted a few seconds so our squishys(anything that doesnt wear plate) didnt get hurt. Our group was 73Sk(tanking), 73sk(Me dps), 75 Shaman, 75 Cleric, 75 Bard, 75 Mage... Everyone but the sk's got to 75 that night, Congratz guys.. As for me Im still about half way till 74 but ill get it :)...
On the 2 attemps we did(only time he was up) he droped the Chain, and Plate powersource, 1 earring, 1 range item. However I won all 3 of his drops and now im a proud sk with new gauntlets, earrings, and a stonger pet "wink" Im excited... During the 9 hour run we pulled in about 12+ spells. I do belive outta all of us we each got 1 some got 2 depending on class and if they could use.... I got Blessing of the Direwild for my druid. So all in all I say i was happy.

Well, I surley hope the other players did not need any upgrades. You fight as a team out there. To not pass on an item that others need and can enjoy, you just upgrade yourself. I would have tossed your selfless A$$ out of the grp then trained you. Have a nice day Mr. or Mrs. greedy. BTW a nice Surname for you IAMGREEDY.

Before you all Flame him for greed you should also consider the time frame they were there. 9 hours is a long ass camp. Yes they took this guy twice but he didn't mention about the other names. for all we know everyone else got phat lewtz too from other names in the area. Both Ironbelly and The Void pop in the same area and have some decent loot too. I did this camp for a several hours with a guild group and by the time we were done we had killed the Void 4 times and Ironbelly twice and this guy 3 times. We ALL walked away with nice new gear. I ended up with some pieces by default cause no one else could use as I was the poorest equipped melee. Our tank was a 75 sk and either had better or couldn't use. I walked away with the masks from both Ironbelly and the Void as well as an earring of the arts.

Almost positive the focus effect on Dentrik's Dementia won't work with a SK pet. Last I heard pet focuses only worked on Mage, Necro, and Beastlord pets, but it's possible they've changed it.

Popped last night and had not read up on him so when Tank said pull him I did. Then the fun started. Nobody had clicked off Infusion or Fearless.
He does Fear. After being beat on by our tank my Shammy (73) was summoned and then I saw LD next to her name. Few tics laters she was moving backwards on her Drog up the hill. Luckily she did not have Lev on.
After all was said and done Cleric, Chanter, and SK were dead but
able to drop him before adds (no snare). Dropped Powersouce and Earring.

I was doing the "into the portal quest" gathering books in Valdeholm when he spawned inside one of the houses by the east Dogs area. Wiped me and my partner as he Sees INVIS.

My group was too scared to try him so they got another guild group and 2 grouped him and he dropped in a matter of seconds. This guy is uterly pathetic with 2 groups.

That is incorrect this guy does charm. Don't know about fear, but everyone in the group got charmed at least once

Confirmed it is charm..
Have fought him 3 times.. only once was I charmed. My magic resist was approx 300-315.
Have someone in your group Remove Curse to cure the charm off your tank. (Hope that works.)

No, its charm alright. I, as a pally have the fearless AA and I got charmed so could not have have been fear.

The hell he doesn't. Kept me chain charmed for nearly 10 minutes. everytime it broke , id start running away, and hed charm again, la ta da, walk right back to him and kiss his big hairry feet.

However, Drentik has a set PH which is a spider on the south wall basically under the bridge. The spider will sometimes pop on the wall, but usually under the world. Drentik is always under the world. You can use "/tar d" to get him on target. I then spam my bellow key while standing on the wall and he will agro. After a few seconds he will warp. Found him once near the west tower, once near the east tower. He will often then reappear in the pit. I also do the same for the spider/ph. Just agro it so it pops then fade it off and resume killing / pulling.

Spawned on top of us today at the botton of the ramp in the pit. Casts a fear or a charm not sure which - the message just says You lose control of yourself. At first I seemed to be feared as I ran into another group nearby as I was trying to change my path and not train them, but then I also seemed to follow him around for about 15 seconds til I regained control of myself and he promptly killed me. :(
