We have been in CoA for a half dozen or so runs, so I am hoping we can take this guy. We just took down Mistwalker, Oblivian and, Fiddleback, so I hope the momentum carries us a bit.
Couldn't find any info on healing strats though so /shrug hehe
Ok we just killed him...
50ish people and it was damn easy. Avoiding his rampage and his AE is key!!!

How many should you bring to this? Time/Qvic geared people.
time/qvic geared? as many as you can. this guy hits hard and has a LOT of hitpoints. my guild has killed him before (40-50 omens geared), but has also wiped on attempts with lower numbers (30ish).

The adds he spawns are not spawned. They are summoned trash from around him. We had our raid leader (bard) pull all the little ones and kill them before engaging the big guy. Dont know max hit.
AE ramps very frequently. This was a problem for my raid. Also seemed to frenzy alot. However, he regens really slow. Our first attempt didnt go well and he got back to full before we rezzed and were ready to go again. 2nd attempt we did a ranged fight and got him down to 12%. Rezzed again and burned him from 30% to dead quickly. We had about 30 qvic to mpg trial quality people. Wasnt particularly difficult. Dropped the cloak.

Dropped some sort of Acorn too i keep forgetting to ask who got them what the actual name was.
