These little fish tend to be casters, they are found throughout Kedge. They can attack casters who are sitting to meditate, or if they get hit by an AE spell.
On occasion they are known to explode on death, damaging everyone by about 400hp.

i hit it with my stick and smacked it around because it smirked at me and it didnt explode.weird smirking fish.

These things are grenades. I was in a group fighting in Kedge Keep and one of our warriors hit this thing and BOOOOOOM the whole group took about 400hp damage. OUCH!

I sat too close to one and it agroed on me. I sat and watched it miss me for a few min then BAM, ripost the sucker for 23 and whole group is blasted with some fire AoE. Dunno the damage cause I resisted it with 50 magic resist.

Blew up on our party last eve, attacked a pet owner, and the pet melee`d it..35 War took 12 dmg, 54 Mage took 420, 54 Wiz took 400, 51 Wiz took 385, 51 Cler took 128, and the 58 Necro 578 dmg!
Yeah, while sitting at a crossroads and having a monk pull Mermaids to us in a raid the other day one of my guildies who is a very impatient kid just HAD to kill the little fishies even though we told him to quit swimming laps and killing the small fish. Wouldnt listen and popped one of these guys. Personally I (42 Warrior with an AC buffed around 809) took a nice 498 damage shot. Not bad for a little green guy.

Ac buffs don't do crap aginst spells. I had 50 magic magic and 45 fire and resisted a blast from one.
Killed one with one swing of a sword for about 60 dmg. It did not explode.
There are not enough of them around to be charming them and using them as you wish BTW.

I wierd. lvl 2-5 things taking 400hps, my 29 warrior doesnt even take that much in most of his battles!

i took my chanter here for some nice solo exp on lancers and impalers
lvl 44, charm, /pet attack a lancer, lancer kills in one hit or so *boom* free 300 damage or so, charm another, boom again, and lancer is half dead, 2 nukes, and ive soloed lancer, on 1 bub of mana. awesome lil fishies!

This are the best pking tools. just look for
someone low on hp and then charm them and send
then to do ur durty work. and then finish the person, they dont even know what hit. If one doesnt do the trick, put 5 of them on the person, who cares. have fun with them assh*oles, lol

if you happen to be a particularly vicious (and perhaps crazy) person, these little critters are excellent means of taking revenge on KSers =)

If anyone has noticed... every person talking about this fish who has cast spells on it says that it takes a lot of hitpoints to kill it.
The fighters all kill it in one hit, but the thing explodes.
Does anyone see the connection here?

One of our tanks accidently reposted on one, hit for 68 dmg, killed it, and it blew us all up. The person taking the most dmg took over 500.

Ran into a few of them last night pulling. They tend to get between me and my target and die in one arrow shot, it hits NPCs as well as PCs too heh. Sometimes they would suicide on someone who was sittings dmg shield so they didn't have many HPs.
But I ran into one in Estrella's lair that attacked my while standing and cast a whole bunch. Nothing that did any noticable dmg, but it took about 400dmg to kill it, so I think he was a bit higher then level 5, not that they are anything to worry about if you are hunting there unless they explode.

Shimmering sailfins can SEE INVISIBLE, so these little guys can really ruin your day. Kill them, but not the other weak fishies.

I kid you not. It was pretty funny- our enchanter did a color stun, hitting a shimmering sailfin. The little thing then proceeding to break out a can of whoopass, and it took us a second to realize that the little fish was the nuker.

There is a bunch of level 1 fish in there just for effect. This is the best one cause it's like a floating bomb. Hit it once and it exploads doing around 200-250 damage in everyone in a very large radius!

Is this thing seriously level 2-5? or did they mess up? i'd think something in KK would be MUCH higher.....

Just use a spell to kill them and they won't explode. I don't think these are level two though, they have about 300 hp's. They also cast a few cold or fire based spells if you leave them around long enough, and do noticeable damage to 40th level folks. All the other sailfins are definately low end though.
