That would be something to try and could be effective. Only a few problems though..
1. ae effect will cause everything above,below and around you to add you to there hate list,
2. If it doesn't explode and kill it you're in for a fight and they are ALL immune to fear based spells.
If you were able to very carefully set it up it might work.. I'm going to servey it and try to get my fellow bards/enchanters down there to give it a try.. Also going to make sure to have a few druid's or wizzies on hand for evac if needed. (or when it will be needed :)

If all the fishies explode... Things could get REALLY interesting if 2 groups of 6 enchanters each charmed them, and sent them to do their dirty work. We are talking about up to like 6000 damage without doing anything, lol. (12x500)

Hah, interesting theory, though the description of the others of this type of fish suggest that they only explode some of the time. Pity.
