4 Egg Sacks spawn at 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%, and 10% (One set spawned 5 eggs based on my parse showing 21 egg sack kills, but I don't know which). Egg Sacks have about 19,000 HP.

can use mercs to request the raid min number of request is 6 total but as soon as u enter instance mercs disapear. tried to trio her tonight, 85 ranger, 85 cleric, 85 sk, got her down to 35% not enough dps. probily will add a few friends for dps on the sacs. max hit on me was 1.2k

Just tried to request with mercs, it WILL NOT allow you to get mission. If you were at one time able to do this, it has been corrected!

We did Volkara's Bite for some backflags, she conned even to 73 =)
Volkara might get stronger the more people there are. We were very easily able to do this with 9 people, then tonight we did it with 14 and wiped.

Each wave has 4 sacks, 2 spiders spawn from each, you have about 30 secs to destroy em.

Set up tank and count down set up heal rot on mt every time the eggs spawn just leave mt on Volk and find and egg and kill it. Seems to keep eggs from hatching quite nicel. At least for us.

Attempted this with 18 players , first attemp got it to 30% the second to 10% , its important to note that adds pop at 80 60 40 20 and 10 percent so, before your MT drops the mob to the next egg pop % turn your attack off, and let the MA dps classes get the spiders dead after all are dead drop it to next egg pop %, ne ways this even is doable with 18players need alot of DPS and 2 good tanks, on on volkara and another to MA eggs / spiders, we pulled volkara to zone but it didn't matter we still got eggs spawning so may as well just do it in the big room where volkara is spawned

If you watch, there is an emote that says something about wrapping your corpses with silk before the spiders spawn. The spiders spawn directly from the PC corpses if you are far from the eggs, so if you keep corpses down there are fewer adds.

Ok tried this event with 18 somewhat ele geared people. Tagged Volk with a ranger and pulled it to zone in. Was easy going and had eggs spawn near 80% like posted; so eggs will spawn wherever you pull her too. Not sure if ranger's killed egg really quick or it popped cuz soon as we lost target on one we had adds very shortly after.
Volks AoE was easily resisted by me with Infusion on. If you are full of buffs her aoe will overwrite infusion, but not always.
She rampages, and not sure what else cuz we got her to 70% with just 18. But we went in not knowing what to expect so IMO we did really well.
Usefull info to have a 4 or 5 healer CH chain on MT, a MGB HoT rotation set up for those who don't resist the AoE. Have a healer or 2 for rampage tank, and another healer or 2 for offtank for egg sacs.
*edit* Volk herself hit our MT of 12.6k 1900 AC, almost fully def, all OoW few DoD, for 1600 max, mostly near or under 1k.

EQlive says that the event has been changed. as of sept 16..or 17..anyhew...she no longer grows in power when she is pulled out of her room...

If u pull him away from his room and kill him there he hits harder. but once hes dead the spiders Roam around so its important u loot up quick or ur find urself trained.

I have nover done this raid before, but I have a couple questions.
1) How many Lava Spider Spinners will you get upon the completion of this event? For the 24 person raids, the boss drops 6 quest items. This is 42 person raid. So I'm assuming that this boss drops maybe at least 10 ?
2) Also, how many items does this boss drop, like leg or ring etc?

Drops 8 quest pieces and 2x Dragon Scale-Bladed Mace for me.

The spiders Do depawn.. We burned volkara at 20%, through the last wave of spiders and had all groups evac the second she dropped. The little ones despawned, we walzed back in and looted.

The method my guild uses currently to kill Volkara is to pull her out of her room at least 2 rooms away from her spawn point. She is not tethered into her room but, be aware that as you pull her from her room she grows in power. She becomes unslowable, and her dot seems to roughly dbl in POI counters. Her eggs are a room spawn not tied directly to her. If you pull her only one room away and your melee push her too close her Spiderlings will add. And that can get abit busy...
We have a well geared EP lvl tank and use a 2 - 3 second CCH on him and it works well. Bards for resists along with Tali of tribunal and DMF for resists. Use MGB heals from druids ect to dull the 2k dD. Chew her down...Rejoice, Loot, rinse, repeat.

80%, 60%, 40%, 20%, 10% .. that's about when eggs popped. Don't make mistake on trying to burn down named on the last 10% pop.. eggs will not despawn even though Volkara dies.

When your taking this mob out, Have your main tank stay on Volkara, the rest of the raid needs to switch to the eggs asap. These little spiders will overwhelm the raid very fast. They spawned about 4 times when I did this. Not sure if theyre activated when she gets down to a % level.

During the event Egg Sacks spawn which can hatch and spawn Magma Spiderlings if not killed fast enough. These spiders don't hit very hard, but it's easy to get overwhlemed by them...
