This event is now fixed in the patch of 1/17/2007. Check under Akihiro's entry for loot.
Any news on the status of SoE fixing the drop off Ashikiro?

I had gotten the turn in items back a while ago and reported the lack of loot. Finally got around to doing the turn in again.
Killed Akihiro and again got NOTHING.
Once more I sent a bug report.

Finally got the tail and did the turn in. Akihiro spawned just like Lividconcepts described.
Killed him after a long fight with a SK tank, war, cleric, enchanter, wiz, berserker and mage. The 2 drakes respawned twice during the fight.
And like Purrp posted, he dropped NOTHING. I only did this quest because it was not yet done by anyone in guild. It became a real challenge because of the A Silent Hunter spawn and tail drop.
Petitioned SOE of course.
SoE gave me back the 4 items and told me to bug the lack of loot.
Not sure what the end result will be ..

It took 18 time / qvic players about 15 minutes to kill him. killed by Legendary Companions of the Tribunal
dropped : nothing....
that's right nadda zip zilch, no emote , no loot , no other named ....
I dunno if that is some kind of sick joke by sony or if he is bugged but thats how it went.

Spawned Akihiro tonight on the 7th hammer. When he first approaches before attacking he cons blue to lvl 70. After his emote he cons white and attacks. Max hit on me was about 800ish average was 183 ( 12.8 k hp 2300 ac fully buffed Pally) but here are some things to note. My slashing damage was mitigated down to maybe a 3rd of what I do normally to any other mob, bash hit for full damage however. My wife who is a rogue was able to have full damage on peircing but also had her slashing mitigated badly. All weapon procs landed however Pious Fury did not, nor did any stuns. After 5 mins or so of beating on this guy and having my wife used Frenzied Stabbing, Twisted Chance, Dead Eye and Dagger fall we only got him down to 97% and that was with alot of 1k + crits from her discs. Before dieing I changed to a two hand blunt weapon to see if he mitigated it and it did in fact hit for full damage however the proc Nightmares ( it was a Vanazir, Dreamer's Despair) would not land on him. Only Fiery strike 5 and Chaotic Strike 4 would land. He has hp to rival VT mobs IMO. Going to go back once I collect the peices again with a full group, prolly a mixture of magic and heavey melee dps.
Will post again once I take this guy down and determine the ammount and type of people it will take.
If you decide to give it a go bring a solid tank and healer with a big mana pool not to mention good dps. It will be an endurance fight from start to finish no matter what the makeup of the group is.

Hmm, Where was the bath attendant exactly ? I have spent a couple days now clearing every mob in the bath area and he hasnt shown up. Did he have a PH?
This akihiro character, did he despawn? how did he con to you level wise?
If you killed him please let us know the loot drops :)
Until then I guess I'll keep trying to spawn this elusive goblin.

I was there tonight with a group consisting of 70 mage, 70 bst, 70 paladin, 68 druid, 66 enc, and 66 paladin. We cleared the area spawned Akihiro, and pulled him. After fighting for around 5 mins or so of hard nuking by the mage, Akihiro was only down to 96% health. He didnt appear to have high regen, just TONS of hps. We ended up having to evac when the druid ran oom from healing the 70 paladin. Reports from the beast said the mob max hit for around 800, no repsonse on how fast or avg hit. Hope this helps.

Okay found the attendent up and handed in the items...spawns a kirin named Akihiro ...was totally unprepared, and solo so i gated. At least now we know what the quest does..test upon handing in items
Goblin bath attendent says "What?? You didn't even get the essence of lily pad! Now get back out there and get the rest...Oh no! It is too late! He is here! We are all gonna die!!!"
he then despawns, and Akihiro walks into the room
Akihiro says ' My bath does not appear to be ready, servant! And who are these...things lurking here?' Akihiro glances at you and your group in disgust. ' This is the last straw! Prepare for a swift death!'

I have yet to see the Golbin Bath Attendant up, I was told he is supposed to be in the room to the left when you go in the bath area with the 2 drakes.. but on Tribunal he is not there, and he was not there last night either.
Is this quest still in the game? I would like to finish it but I dont want to waste another day if they took the quest out.
EDIT : I found the branch , the other post is a bit misleading its not in the water but on the ground near the water under a cherry tree, loc 647 306 , I had to change my graphics setting to even see it as it is very close to the color and texture of the ground. Still no Quest NPC up though I will post the reward if he ever pops.

I found the tail today, It drops off of silent hunter a named puma that spawns in the first courtyard area behind the rock, His placeholder is a golbin..
The tail is apparently a rare drop I have killed him several times and only saw this once.

The blossoms are on the other side of the pool that has the water in the garden right by the bath attendant. Took me awhile because I was looking for a big groundspawn bag; they actually look like a little green diamond floating just in the water. Same pool as the no drop water--you'll see them now. Sad part is the quest reward will be like a 10 hp aug I bet :).
I've found the water and blossomes but can't find the green herbs; spent an hour clicking on every patch of green in both pool areas near attendant. Please post loc of herbs!
When you walk into the temple, take your first left. In that room there's a stove and the green herbs should be on the floor right in front of it. I've found the pond water, but have had no luck with the blossoms. Where did you find them?

All quest pieces are ground spawns in Stillmoon Temple except for the puma tail; havent found it yet.
Look on the ground in the garden areas near the water for the others though.

This is a quest NPC, he asks you to bring him 4 items, I don't have the list at the moment.
