Just took him down solo. I'm a 76 monk with 355 AA's. Was dark blue to me. Was close, had to FD once, he didn't regen, waited for HoT potion to become available, got back up, and finished him off with my health in the upper teens. Along with the symbol, he also dropped a "Collector's Sonic Wolf Ear," Lore, no trade.
Would like to add the whole fight I had a Dire Sonic Wolf beating me from behind, that I just ignored.

75 mnk 266 aas and 71 druid downed him no problem

Had my sidekick dorf with me for heals. Max def aa's and time+ geared and just came from a raid so decently buffed. Cleric simply chained HoT heals and tossed me a quickie when it started to get hot around me. after a few minutes and 50% mana later on cleric i was done. This is for epic 2, so i gather people doing this fight would be pretty decent equipped anyways. Would be a real pushover if u bring a slower, but not hard at all. Kaiaren is next now for me, and i imagine he will be like the Keeper in Bloodfields on steroids. Hopefully ill be doing him soon with my guild

You cannot solo by FD'n and regening faster. Once u lose aggro, he depop's and repop's 6min later. Bring a Shaman. He's a punk when slowed.
Freedom is when you can ignore all the rules.

Tried this today 30th sep 2005.
Pretty easy fight. max hit was around 1500, as someone mentioned.
Mob does not regenerate, if you have to FD.
There is a bug with this mob though, if you stand at the right exact range from him (about where the target ring ends, with normal UI), he will not hit you back. He just stands there looking dumb.
I used this bug some of the fight, as i did not even realise he wasn't hitting me. When he does hit you, its usually doubles, sometimes quads.
He has a fake Flurry and Rampage.
Has an AE, Quivering Nightmares, doesnt seem to do much, maybe a slight DoT.
Oh yeah, im a 70 monk in Qvic gear. My boxed shaman, i had planned on healing myself with, got beaten into a bloody pulp within 5 seconds of the start... so sad.

One Group can easily take this mob down. max hit on a 70 monk was 1500.

saw it for the first time today, never knew it was there until I killed a few wolves on that particular hill and found it just standing there, you can't attack it and when hailed - Before you have a chance to ask any further questions the Disciple says, 'We have no reason to speak. Please let me continue my meditations.'
loc - (neg 230, pos 893) almost due west from Katta Castellum zoneline but on top of hill on your right as you're coming from Katta
cons indifferently but is red to me so has to be much higher than lvl 70
